Iran are asian affiliate team. They took part to the ACC trophy in 2006 but lost all matches to Afghanistan, Qatar and Thailand.

I think football is the most popular sport there (they are one of the best asian teams).

Cricket is a mainstream sport in Nepal I believe. The ICC would do well to stage some exhibition matches between established teams there.
