No no, it's based on the efforts we put. Just by chance, though, all the best fans live in Canada I guess :D

According to Traffic info on BC (http://www.banglacricket.com/alochona/showthread.php?t=22189&highlight=Traffic), UK has almost equal view share compared to USA. Currently there is no Moderator from UK. IMO, there should be at least one moderator from UK.
Here is detail view per country. All 158. Its for last one month.
<table id="f_table_graph" class="records performance_view"><thead><tr><th colspan="2" class="text" align="left"> Country </th> <th class="graph_variable"> <form action=""> %

There is no point in asking for region based mods or admins. We are all members of BC and I dont think there is any need to highlight if most mods are from a certain region or if some region does not have any representation in the admin level. If that were the case then the first region to get noticed should be Bangladesh but I think we should not try and create divisions among the members by bringing in region.

Well I have mentioned region not to make any region based bias.
There is a significant time gap between UK and USA zones. When many UK members are active and posting, a moderator is required to ensure tidiness of BC. The time can be quite unsuitable for USA and Canada based moderators and vice versa.
I hope this clarifies.

Thanks a lot guys. Congrats to ATMR and capslock too. I'm looking forward to it. Would love all of your continuing support in this too :)
I thought I'd share my first approach to moderatorship with you guys... I've thought of colour coding my identity at times when posting as a mod. blue for suggestions/requests, and red for warnings/censuring.

June 22, 2007, 09:15 PM
Welcome to the family boys, now you are in charge of BC, take good care of it.
We do realize the need for mods in different time slots, however, the selection of mod is based on daily time spent on the forum, tenure, quality of post, past record etc. This makes it hard to find a good match for time slots. We are always on the look for mod potentials, so who knows, may be in future we will find someone from UK, Japan or Russia.

On the contrary, for modding , a sense of humour is an asset and a necessity. Otherwise, you will go mad.:)

I wanna know how a forum like this would run if everyone was made a mod, like wiki style. I think it will work and would be the most efficient. But I guess I will never find out :(

Thanks Orphy. Except that it was Gay Pride Parade today in Toronto, and I'm not too sure if being your favourite rubs me the right way. (Dont worry, I went to ogle at the women there)
As for wiki... they've started locking many threads due to wiki vandalism. Not everyone is a mod. One of wiki's top Wikipedians with that mod-like stature is my friend (http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1570732,00.html) and risk (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Risk_%28game%29) & bridge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contract_bridge) mentor.
