Excerpt-

Praising Bangladesh's improvement at this level, Sangakkara said that the Tigers have to increase their pace of development.

"Bangladesh is improving side but they should increase the pace. You have talented cricketers but they have to prove their ability and you know without hard work it is not possible. I think there is a lack of consistency in their performance," suggested the experienced Lankan cricketer, who has a lot of contribution in his team's recent past success.

Intelligent words there. Sangakkara really knows what he's talking about - BD definitely lack consistency. My question is when did he see our new pacers in action? (Was he even talking about the pacers i'm talking about? Or is he talking about mash, shahadat and rasel?

Great observation from Sanga. I am looking forward to some concrete plans, like who needs specialised focused training; are our training schedules ineffective; what is lacking at performance camps for the U-19 camp etc. etc.

I think the key word is "pace" and the board is perhaps clueless as to what this team needs now and where the team is in historical perspective. That is why we need specialist coaches from Australia.

Agree with mr. Oracle. We improved but our direction in test cricket changes from time to time. I understand we had a gap, but we should have practice matches or league matches for 5 days to see how these players survive. Most probably due to one day tours and other 'obligations' prevented them playing longer version of the games. But that should not be the excuse.

I think he was talking about the pace of our cricketing development not our pacers.
