First of all, I would like to request all the members to think sensibly about our status in test cricket. Our cricketers lack the temperment, consistency, overall cricketing ability to play longer version of the game. So, realistically speaking we have limited chance to even draw the test match. We have to give more than "100%" like what Mahela said when they play every opponent.
On the other hand, SL is also very good ODI team, not sure if BD can do anything with this top class team. But we all hope for more improvement, more consistency, and performance from all departments, then we might see good fight.

He has couple of FIFTIES as well...

I agree with SS. We might lose those matches so badly.. We are no where near to a good test team... hope things are different this time..

Forget about good, we're not even an "okay" Test team.

But at the same time, I'm willing to wait as long as it takes for our boys to learn Test cricket. They have my support.

On the other hand, I am pissed with ICC and BCB for not being able to schedule more Test matches for Bangladesh. A team can ONLY improve by playing.

shahadat's 5-86 @ Bogra

I stand corrected. Thanks bro. Post edited.

Quote-

"Shahadat Hossain was discovered during a talent-spotting camp in Narayanganj, and whisked away to the Bangladesh Institute of Sports (BKSP) for refinement. He was picked for the 2004 Under-19 World Cup, where he stood out as a promising fast bowler in a tournament which generally lacked firepower, and was rapidly called up for Bangladesh A. Shahadat - who's also known as "Rajib" - has all the necessary attributes for a genuine fast bowler. He is tall, comes in off a smooth run-up, and doesn't put unnecessary pressure on his body with a slightly open-chested delivery position. He has a strong frame, and endurance in abundance. He is naturally aggressive and, above everything, has raw pace. His Test debut at Lord's in 2005 was a chastening experience, as he conceded 101 runs in just 12 overs. But he was still only 18: since then he impressed against Sri Lanka, taking four wickets in an innings in Colombo and again at Chittagong, before going one better in Bogra's inaugural Test: his 5 for 86 confirmed him as the leading fast bowler in either side. He struggled against the Australians in April 2006, having only the wicket of Ricky Ponting to show for 67 overs of effort, but if he continues to progress, along with the left-armer Syed Rasel, he could be a force for Bangladesh in the years to come. On the tour to Zimbabwe in July 2006, Hossain became the first Bangladeshi to take a hat-trick in one-day internationals.

Wasn't that an ODI haul? If not, I stand corrected. Thanks bro.

rajib has 1 wicket against top 8 teams in his entire ODI career, far from a 5 wicket burst in a single match...here is the scorecard:

http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/238168.html

also, 86 runs is quite expensive, i doubt if rajib even could manage to leak away that many tapash like runs.
