And following are the criteria used
TEAM
Points are awarded on the result of each match
200 for a win, 100 for a draw, 0 for a loss and 150 for a tie
Points for a win have a bonus added based on the size of the winning margin
A bonus is added for a win away or home
A penalty applies for a loss at home (no bonus or penalty for a draw)
A bonus applies for defeating a team currently ranked higher on the table and a penalty for losing to a team ranked lower (lesser adjustments apply to drawn matches)
Ranking are based on average points (total points/ m played)
[a proportional adjustment is used it teams have played less than 8 matches]

This is the ICC ODI ranking:
Team Rating
1. Australia --- 130
2. South Africa ---122
3. New Zealand ---113
4. Pakistan --- 111
5. Sri Lanka ---110
6. India --- 109
7. England ---103
8. West Indies ---99
9. Bangladesh ---45
10.Ireland --- 27
11.Zimbabwe ---22
12. Kenya --- 0
Top 3 teams remain the same in both rankings.
In the middle 4 teams, England's position above Pakistan is strange. In ICC, Pakistan tops the middle four, here it is last.
Also in ICC, 1 point separates India & Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka & Pakistan - very close. Change in the order of these 3 teams isn't that surprising. Only position of England is odd.
In the bottom 5, West Indies is far ahead of the pack in ICC rankings whereas it sits 1 below BD in IT rankings.
