BCB PRESIDENT'S ELEVEN: Hannan Sarker (captain), Nafees Iqbal, Aftab Ahmed, Moniru-zzaman, Nazimuddin, Mushfiqur Rahman, Nadif Chowdhury, Anwar Hossain, Enamul Haque junior, Anwar Hossain Monir, Gazi Alamgir, Abul Bashar and Ashiqur Rahman.

BANGLADESH A: Rajin Saleh (captain), Javed Omar, Nafees Iqbal, Nazimuddin, Aftab Ahmed, Gazi Sagir Hossain, Ashiqur Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain, Arafat Sunny, Tareq Aziz Khan, Ziaur Rahman, Talha Jubair and Alamgir Kabir.

These teams have a fair number of new players or players who we need to look at. Missing however are fringe players on or near the national team who needed practise or a chance to prove what they can do. I would have played shanto on the A team rather than have him walk on to the one day side. Also Fahim Muntassir's ommission is baffling - but I guess they have given up on the 2 front-line spinner concept. They should have given Shafaq al Jubair a go as well.

Who from this list is a good middle order batting candidate - i don't see what moniruzzaman until the one dayers will do unless either hannan or javed flop in the tests.

In practise matches against the, the tourists don't play the host team... even if it's under a diffreant name... so they can't give practise using games intendedfor the tourists. However Bangladesh should be playing Bangladesh A, as Australia plays Australia A.
