I am very dissapointed in the current series. Veterans should not perform like this. They are the cream, have world of experience but can not even play against an attack were botham's Mom could chuck better.
I think the following players need to be sacked.
A: Career average 33+ current series average: 4.5 ??? A difference of almost 30 ??? He is out of form and how is he still in the team? More over he is the captain??
B: Career average 35+ current series average: 11 ??? A difference of almost 24 ??? He is out of form and how is he still in the team? WK and playing first down? he needs to be demoted to #7 at least.
C: Career average 32+ current series average: 22 ??? A difference of almost 10 ??? He is out of form and how is he still in the team? Well I'll let him stick around cause he have scored some 12,000+ runs. Also got 300 wickets.
Double digit average dip is not good for the team. The best part is there is no BD players up there. By the way anyone who didn't play 35 innings was not considered in this statistical analysis. Yup! I know my guru taught me this trick to bash others affectively.

I almost confused Mahela with Ashraful..only thinking that TE confused 22 with 33 average.

Good one!
I was shocked that it's a TE thread, just looking at the title. But reading the post, TE did not disappoint :)

T_E Bhai,
What you would do if the big three compensates by scoring heavily in the last match? You will have to change your calculation then. :(

An entire series finished.
Jayawardene scored 29 in three tries. averaged 9.6. Pathetic to say the least when you think of an attack of BD without Mash, Rafiq. Career average - current series average = {(33+) - 9.6} = 23.4+
Sangakkara became a laughing stock with is total of 40 runs. That averages to 13.3. Career average - current series average = {(35+) - 13.3} = 21.7+
Big hitting Jayasuriya is old and that is showing in his batting. 17.3 average is not something to boost about. Career average - current series average = {(32+) - 17.3} = 14.7+.
Before critizing our boys we need to find out what our boys averages are. If veteran like these can have an off series surely Sakib, Mushfiq and others can have a similar type of series. We must keep faith on them instead of bashing and banishing them from the team, just like SL would keep faith on their big three.

But the averages of this series are perhaps more reflective [ plus the World Cup ] than all those minnow bashing exercise. For example, Sakib's average would be completely different if Bermuda, Scotland, Canada, Zimbabwe were taken out. As would many of the others I might add.
