How do I make my Windows Media play flash video? I got an error when I tried to play a video with flv extension which I forgot to save. But going back through my browsers history I dug out the microsoft's help sites I visited.

The microsoft site tells me this:

The file type is supported by the Player, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the Player.

...amongst other suggestions which know aren't the cause.

Any idea how I can make it work? Do I need to download any thing?

Thanks.

I was having all sorts of problem with my Windows Media player, I found this Combined Community Codec Pack (CCCP) (http://www.cccp-project.net/) very helpfull and solve all my audio/video codec related problem. It's a free download by the way. Hope it will help.
