As much as I'm aware of Al Fatah's corruption and support Hamas as the consequence, this is just appalling. Teaching hate to little children in this manner is chilling, and can only lead to more hatred. Piping down some of the rhetoric and continuing the great social work on the ground, can be the positive message that will do them a lot more good. Another case of man biting dog, shameful and ultimately counter productive.

I agree, its terrible. No wonder they are so screwed up. There is no unity amongst them.

Well, if you look into who funded Hamas initially, and why, that should come as no surprise.

See, for instance, the following report (http://www.upi.com/inc/view.php?StoryID=18062002-051845-8272r) and editorial (http://www.antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=8449).

Its same on both sides. Loop of violence begetting violence... It was discussed here before:
Israeli Children Brainwash, lesson for hatred (http://www.banglacricket.com/alochona/showthread.php?t=16900)

armed conflict cannot happen unless you first dehumanize the enemy. killing is abhorently repulsive to all peoples regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, nationality. that is why every warring faction tells that the enemy is "not like us."

the statement that muslims "hate us more than they love their children" is a prime example of dehumanizing before killing.

and of course the posted video is the *muslim* counterpart to that.

I saw this on the Daily Show a few weeks ago. These types of stupid things are what get muslims stereo-typed so easily. It is wrong, tactless, plain dumb.

Islam prohibits priesthood and hierarchical, absolute authorities akin to the Catholic Church to dictate terms of being a Muslim. We must have complete faith in the unique judgment of Allah and no individual can be the intermediary between that judgment and our salvation. Therefore, multiple interpretations are a part of Islamic traditions and will continue to be, but all Muslims should agree on leaving non-combatants and children out of the strategies, tactics and acts of war, as made abundantly clear in the Holy Qur-aan.

Hamas with its commendable social activism and popular support in the Camps doing this sort of thing in reaction to what they correctly see an injustice, should fare better acting with positive messages, unless of course, narrow political interests are more important than infinitely more crucial National, economic and social interests of the Palestinian people. They need to calm the F down and ponder who ultimately benefits from their reactionary activities. If they don't, those of who believe in a progressive Islamic alternative to Al Fatah that is committed to pluralism and social justice irrespective of religious and other differences, and the alternative use of Islam as inspiration and moral guide to do politics rather than using Islam as politics, need to question their motives.

Excellent digs Shaad, thanks ... the totally counterproductive divisions continue amongst the Palestinians, maybe they need our CTG to try and set things right.

Last thing Palestine needs is its new generation to start fighting themselves. This is a terrible mistake by Hamas, it only hurts their cause and tarnishes the image of Palestanian struggle.
