Btw, anyone noticed how we played plenty of unorthodox shots and still managed to survive and score!
If Ashraful had been caught behind the stumps on his first ball, it might have been a different story.

great batting by ashraful. he made up with his batting today after giving 55 runs bowling 4 overs. no one is talking about it rightnow but if we would lose that would be the number 1 thing we would talk about. people would want ashraful to be removed. great game great batting but still ashraful shouldnt have bowled 4 overs where masrafee only bowled 2. ash is a batsman not a bowler.
happy to see we won though.
yeah, everyone would talk about that if ashraful's 1st ball facing ended up differently. but, he did more than compensate. weel, for a tigher match, hopefully he will let mashrafi or someone else ball at the last stage.

20/20 is the ultimate "[বাংলা]যদি লাইগা যায়[/বাংলা]" form of the game and we have the ultimate [বাংলা]যদি লাইগা যায়[/বাংলা] set of batsmen :) Ash showed us that practice form is temporary. Nazim left early and we still won handily. I reckon Rasel deserves a big slice of credit for not letting Windies get a rocking start. BTW, did I call the DR Smith innings or what? :)

batsmen to look for :
Zunaid Imroz
Nadif Chowdhury
Worries :
farhad reza (wtf is he doing?)
Out of form :
Mashrafe (we want your immaculate line and length back)
Hugs :
SYed Rasel (good control)
Mushfique Rahim (Standing up so close..so young..so brave)
Absent from the Game :
Shakib (hrmmm..do something fascinating to increase participation)
Alok (i prefer Zunaid..he kinda choked in the last few deliveries)
Fantastic :
They were happy, not ecstatic..i like this professional attitude...age ekta match jitlei gari bari peye jeto..now we slowly learning to win regularly..

Oh boy, just walked into work and checked the score, was half expecting a win, and boy did it happen! Ash 60 odd off 27 balls? Murder, homicide! But he's really gotta stop bowling. :)

Who gives a sh*t? It's the least important thing for Ash as a cricketer. If Ash can produce this batting (and refrain from bowling) in every limited overs match, I wouldn't give a damn even if he spoke in binary...

Perfect show by a near perfect team. Only chink in the line up so far is Alok kapali. I dont see how he makes any difference to what Bangladesh do in a particular match. I would much rather have nadif or junaid in place of "aloukik kapali". Other than that this team is golden for this format.

Only chink in the line up so far is Alok kapali. .
tsk...tsk! what Nadif or Junaid have done? Kapali is just playing according to the match situation and staying there till the end. Keeping it simple. Its much better than what Tamim is doing- trying to slog every ball in most ungainly fashion. It just looks ridiculous!
Btw, Tamim is doing noone a favour here- not himself, to say the least!

Good to see bangladesh managing a win without a significant contribution from masrafee...
BTW, Ashraful should not have bowled the 19th over of the matched... he made up for it with his explosive innings!

Good win. A very timely one. I am not happy with Mashrafee, he was erratic, he was lucky that he wasn't murdered the way Ash and Aftab murdered the WI bowlers. He needs to sort out his line and length. As usual he had problem bowling the left handers like Devon Smith.Mash is a big worry for us. I don't want want to see Ash is bowling if he is getting smacked- Razzak and Sakib proved that they are better as a bowler than Ash.
Good luck for the next match my fellow countrymen.

Every player has his ups and downs. This is his. It's not unexpected but hope he recovers from it.

Who gives a sh*t? It's the least important thing for Ash as a cricketer. If Ash can produce this batting (and refrain from bowling) in every limited overs match, I wouldn't give a damn even if he spoke in binary...

wow, excellent display!!! looks like all the underdogs are coming thru!!! Congrats to BD!! this is definitely turning out to be the better WC!!
Hehehe!! You have not checked the Twenty/20 rating, have you? I suggest you do that. WI was the underdog in today's game. :)

yeah,i guess you are right, lol, btw i never heard mushy speak engish can he speak proper english or is it something like ashrafuls'?
Of course Mushy can speak English and it is better than Ashraful's scratchy English.
My cousin spoke to Mushy in Guyana in English, stayed at the same hotel, met him in the lobby.

Okay please. Ashraful's English is as bad as his Bangla. It's just the way he talks. I talk the same way Ashraful does...so what?

How can we complain? Surely they can look at the scorecard which they have as a link at the end of article.

A great win! Wow was I surprised! I watched BD bowl and was a little upset that WI scored a lot at the end. I thought that Ash's bowling would cost us the match. Then the BD batting started and they got off to a bad start. After 2 overs they were at 4/1. I had to go to school so I was really pissed off thinking that we blew a great chance to win. I was hanging out at my friend's mom's classroom with my friend and I decided that before class starts I should check the score. I quickly went on Cricinfo and looked at the scorecard. 100/2! I couldn't believe it! After seeing that, I knew we would win. When I went home, my mom told me the good news!

tsk...tsk! what Nadif or Junaid have done? Kapali is just playing according to the match situation and staying there till the end. Keeping it simple. Its much better than what Tamim is doing- trying to slog every ball in most ungainly fashion. It just looks ridiculous!
Btw, Tamim is doing noone a favour here- not himself, to say the least!
Alok? What has Farhad done?
Alok has not done anything wrong after being inducted in the side neither has he done anything worthwhile. There are other players too named in the above posts who have not done anything worthwhile yet but what makes Alok's place a question mark is what has he done to warrant a place in a 20/20 side ahead of big hitters like nadif and junaid? That is where my question is. I had a problem from the beginning with Alok being chosen in this squad. He has absolutley nothing to offer as a bowler and would return with similar figures as ashraful is doing now if given a go. As a batsman we have much better proven hitters in the squad in nadif and junaid than Alok. Now if anyone comes and says we need his batting in this form of the game then I would say "you have one heck of cricketing brain".(note the sarcasm please). :)

Alok has stayed in the crease not out 'till the end several times since his inclusion and that is more than enough when you have the top order playing fantastic. people please, no more pessimism/bashing players alok will inshallah perform when his chance comes, poor fellow never even got to bowl.

Great win against WI. mashallah.
Ash and CO should not become too complacent about SA just because they defeated them in the World cup. i am sure that SA remembers this and will not allow BD to get the better of them, they are a good and well knit team.
Zimbabwe, Kenya and Scotland have been eliminated. Now BD has to play the big boys.
They have played these guys and have been beaten badly. I am hoping this does not happen again.
Ash and his boys have been described as YOUNG AND RECKLESS. They are young, but should try to shed the recklesss bit.
Anyhow, lets wish them all the best in the next round, and hopefully win a couple of games. i will say a special Dua for them tonight after Magrib Namaaz.
