Anyone has any idea if the Sugar OS coming with the One Laptop Per Child foundations $100 PC (more like 188) has native support for Bangla?

Since it's essentially a bastardized Red Hat distribution I'd imagine that Unicode support is built in. Just wondering it there has already been any effort to get Bangla working on it?

By default linux kernel, and xfree86 has been Unicode enabled with UTF-8 for quite some time now. Its always a matter of whether proper fonts are installed or not. Most distributions have bangla fonts packs. You can also manually just install the Bangla ttf fonts.
