Before they go ahead with the Test match against New Zealand, what should the players mainly focus on, because winning the test match means encourtering every aspects of the game, but I think Bangladesh has one problem in one general area, but which is it that is really concerning and leading to a mess where we always loose a match, basically what should we really improve in our game to really win a Test match against the big teams, and what should we work on?:-/

its all psychological.

Bowling. The fast bowlers dont believe in themselves, they are not using their brains, they let the batsman dictate to them what ball to bowl, they need to concentrate to get the right attacking lengths and maintain their length, they shouldnt be brought down.

The problems are reflected with batting and fielding in its own way.

The Psychological/Mental change will lead to a direct benefit in the batting, bowling and maybe even the fielding department so I think it is the most important.

But it test matches, we struggle the most in batting and creating decent partnerships, so the psychological and mental change should focus on batting.

If our batsmen can post a decent total, our bowlers will be pumped up and their performances will improve as well. Our batsmen fail in the first innings too many times and our bowlers have no motivation and we must try to avoid this situation in this series.

Yes psychological is the main part of the problem

Batting.

Win or lose, ODI or test, start by scoring just 250 per innings. The rest will follow.

"Mental Change" has no meaning.

If we score 600 runs in the first innings of the upcoming test, we will have "Superhuman" mental strength in bowling and fielding. Cricket, as I said (rhetorically) before, is played with a bat - for the most part.

The tactic to stay on the wicket as long as possible and not giving the wicket away.

The tactic is to hit vettori sixes all over the park even at the cost of the matches which they will most likely loose anyway.

Yes, but without mental change, Bangladesh will never ever score 600 runs in an innings unless teams drop at least 20 of our catches and 10 of them being Ashraful's and Aftab's wicket.

What I'm trying to say is with our current batting mentality/psychology, it seems like all our batsmen try to do is hit boundaries for every ball they face and that menatality won't take them anywhere.

And I know Jamie Siddons is/will be working with the batsmen to teach them which balls to play and which to not. The results may not be felt yet, but hopefully it will be soon.

tactics 1 : bat as long as possible ... not to throw wicket. but that does not mean play 150 balls for 10 runs. try to maintain a run rate around 2-3 which is possible with proper risk free shots.

tactics 2 : try to bowls as economic as possible.create pressure. dont try too many things in a over.

PATIENCE is the main tactics in the game of test cricket.

I have chosen other.......because..........for every thing they have been taught for last few years. I think they need o be told, if they are not serious they will be sent to "durniti domon Commission" and laterz they will be handed over to Rab.

our batting has ALWAYS been poor in technique... apart from Ashraful and occasionally a couple of others.

Ashraful has welcomed himself to NO MAN'S LAND... because currently he is the one man show who glues this team togethet ATM. team morale sinks heavily after his departure, no way we will put up any hopes for anything positive in upcoming tests if no one else supports ashraful in Bangladesh Cricket Batting heroism.

Batting. BD needs a specialist batting coach - if required send all the top batsmen to Azharuddin's academy. One of the practice routine in Azhar's academy is to stay on the net for 2 days without getting out. How many runs are scored is not counted - only being able to stay there for 2 days without getting out.

Well now I think we should work on our batting for sure, the bowling looks alright now after day 1, because the guy looks good and looks like a wicket-taker, but the batting needs to shape up real fast, concerning Ashraful, Aftab, Bashar & Nafees but Tamim is doing real good in this tour. By the way the selectors have made the wrong choice of putting Zunaid in the team, how stupid are they where is Rajin in the side?
