Any idea why Ash did not take the new ball and decided to overall himself ? What a way to give NZ a boost instead of trying to tighten the noose around thier lower middle order. Vettori is helping himself to a healthy average.

Seamer's wicket, so the team management went with just one SLA. Benched Enam for Moyna, the better batting option near the tail.

Suman, only 18 and 6'4" has genuine pace and agrression, and more sporting wickets can make him an asset for Bangladesh in 5 years. The same goes for Shubhashish, 18 and 6'2", and Rubel, 17 and already bowling at 137 kmph. His reverse swinging yorkers are the best I've seen from any Bangladeshi bowler. Faster wickets will mean a brighter future for us all.

I thought Suman Saha was over 20. Shuvashish is over 19 and Rubel around 19!

BTW, do you know how tall Rubel is? Its encouraging to know about Rubels reverse yorkers.

Off topic, Rony Talukdar seems to be an excellent slip catcher! Did you manage to have a look at him?

I saw Rubel on BTV World and watched him closely. He's 17 according to commentators Raquibul and Bulbul during the match. Raquibul also mentioned Suman and Shubhashish to be 18 during a different match. Looking at them, I think he's right ... :)

Saw a bit of Rony last year, don't remember his slip fielding though. That said, these guys improve and/or go downhill pretty fast. Erratic to say the least.

Rubel's 5-9" max.

Positives: Some great bowling from Rajib after he found his line under tough circumstances. Good bowling from Mash and Moyna. Mash, at times was great.

Negatives: Some patheic fielding, including dropped catches (Abir's was a howler), El Gordo (fatso) robbing us first thing in the morning, loose deliveries (at least 1 or 2 per over hit for 4s, especially from Sajid at one point).

when Rasel gets bak he should have absolutely no place in the lineup.

We all know that. But given time, Sajid will be good Test bowler. He has better pace like Vaas. Rasel doesn't.

Rasel is more of a ODI bowler than Test.

Why BD is playing test matches in ODI style?

The batsmen have no class or they lack temperament for the long version?

Yes,with no line and length. I reckon Rasel is better than him. Plus, given time we are still playing pretty much like we did 8 years ago.

I think Sajidul couldn't bear all the pressure of performing consistently in just his 2nd int'l match.
The way the match is going...Vettori might declare soon as he scores a century..the NZ team definitely wants to send BD in for half an hour today and take 2or 3 more wickets. Desparately hope they don't lose wickets today.
The first five overs after tea will be crucial to the duration of this match.

You are forgetting one thing. We didn't have a good bowling line up in the past. For last 1 and half year, we're having good bowlers. So I guess in the next 1/2 years, we will be alright in everything.

We just have to have some patience till these boys get enough experiences and get matured.

NZ will keep batting 'til the end of the day. when 3 more overs are left for the day, they will declare, and get 2 wickets of bangladesh within those 3 wickets.
