Even Premier League Clubs doesn't want Hablu Anymore:

Bashar miffed with reluctant clubs (http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/bangladesh/content/story/333801.html)

http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/32f45cda17.jpg (http://www.freeimagehosting.net/)

But our moron selectors think that he is still valuable for our national team for his experience.

Mate, the same topic and the article is being discussed on some other on-going thread at the moment.

So, pls take a sec before posting a duplicate thread.

mods, plz merge this one with "financial crisis for clubs" thread.

Can you please stop it? The thread topic is fine, and shouldn't be merged with another thread. I haven't been reading the forums for a few days, and I knew about this article only from this thread.

You should get an official warning for copy/pasting "mods please merge this thread into x thread" in everybody's thread.

Spitty can't support you here. You haven't read the forum for a while and that's why you are unaware about a very similar thread.

Discussions on same topic or similar topic should be centered on one thread. There is no point creating numerous threads on same topic, it only distracts the attention of the members from a topic.

A single article can be discussed from different point of view in a separate thread. The forum can decide for itself whether a topic is interesting enough or not.

IMO, asking the thread starter to delete his thread would be the more civil thing to do than crying for mod action.

I am with spitty here. Clubs financial crisis doesn't interest me. I skipped that thread. Everyone will not visit every thread. This thread gave me the exclusive insight (plus link) on our Habibul Bashar's predicament. More over two different topic.

Too many centralized thread creates too many pages where valuable information gets hidden with in. That is my personal preference.

by the way, this is no slap on bashar's face. 90% of national team players are facing the same issue.

bottom line we need a thread to bash Bashar in every single way we can ;)

Now, if only he were actually scoring, then we would have had a thread worshipping him at every opportunity.

Wait, its not SRT we are talking about here, and besides, we are not Indian cricket fans either.

I don't think people worship him when he was the only man scoring. But bashing him when he is down and on top single him out in a thread like this when all the other so called talents r facing the same thing shows the true color...:timeout:

Most of the pool players will miss 8-9 premier league matches because of ODIs, but Bashar, a test specialist now, won't miss more than 2 premier matches. So, yeah, I think it's pathetic that he is still not getting any offer from Dhaka clubs.

Pilot and Rajin, whose chances to feature in ODIs are slim, already got offers !

i want to agree with TE, pundit, and spitty: the finincial crisis thread only hints at bashar's lack of offers. well actually i think it explicitly stated that, but i didn't read it carefully. not everyone reads all threads, and even then read threads are not always perused.

First of, clubs don't have money and cant afford a player with no form whatsoever.

Second of, if he is called for SA series, he wont even be playing most of the games...

Finally, if he score few more runs in NCL, he wouldn't have to go through this...

I think it's unfair to single out Bashar here. He simply represented the national players in the interview with Cricinfo. The scenario isn't much different for even the best performers of the national team.

"Nobody has communicated with me and as far as I know, it is almost similar for 90% of the pool players. It's really surprising," Bashar told the Daily Star, a Dhaka daily. "What so far I have learned is that the clubs are not interested to pay money for the national players because of their international commitments."

Bashare won't play too many more tests unless it's in BD but he struggled mightly against Australia when Australia toured BD so I think in 2-3 more series he will say goodbye to us.

I am sick and tired of this typical basher bashing. Heroes come rarely, rise rapidly and then demise at some stage - this is the ultimate truth. Bashar is going through the same patch. Can’t we be a bit more patient and respectful to one of our all time hero?

The team should change the name to Surjasto to "Old is Gold" or even "Surjo Buira"

I think HB has read Bidrohi Kobi Kazi Nazur Islam's famous [বাংলা]"যৌবনের গান"। কবি সেখানে বলেছেন, যৌবন কিংবা বার্ধক্যকে বয়সের ফ্রেমে আবদ্ধ করা যায় না।[/বাংলা]
