the stadiums have gone smaller, a smaller feeling of cricket over there ever since the change of stadiums from fatullah 2 mirpur:-|

Can't be happy with outdated stadiums which has nostalgic values. We need to move on in terms of facility, looks, advancement on technology.

I think Mirpur will be our best stadium once it is finished properly. There were a great thread by Billah bhai on that.

Read the article. I am certain you will change your mind.

We need good divisional stadiums badly in Sylhet and Barisal. Bogura needs to be converted in to an academy stadium. Barisal playing at Bogura, or Sylhet playing at Fatullah does not give the fans of the respective places the opportunity to support their team properly. To decentralise our cricket this is a must.

Check out these pictures here at BC.

Post of the year!

I also voiced the same concern in some other thread some time ago...No BC members acknowledged or had an word of encouragement for that matter. :-|

I like Shahid Chandu stadium a lot. But that's just based on what I've seen on TV. It looks really green. It must be different from Mirpur stadium since there's less pollution outside the city...I could be wrong on the 2nd observation though.

Better yet, why don't you post the pictures of all the stadiums in Bangladesh. Then we can decide which one looks better. I think that will be nice !

I guess for us who haven't seen most of the stadiums, it is only the looks that we can base our observations on. But otherwise, in terms of facilities and quality of the facilities, we have to read/dig more about the stadiums.

BC had some sort of details on the stadiums I believe.

Haven't see it from inside, but have seen it from outside. Is it the same "bhanga chura" structure? Or have they fixed it by now?

Havent been to any other stadium beside BNS.

Eagerly looking forward to the SA series, an opportunity to check out Mirpur Stadium.

Well, then atleast would have something to compare to.

Why don't we build an int'l stadium in Cox'x Bazar, our prime tourist destination? In winter months, during any series, it will be filled to capacity by tourists. Don't get it. All cricket playing countries/islands have a sea front stadium to attract the tourists..

They are making one. But that is for Football. Very recently there were talks on that in the media. may be after it is finished we can arm-wrestle and snatch it away.

Checkout the CI note at the Bangabandhu stadium page:

"Note Dhaka's cricket headquarters have now shited to the purpose-built Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Mirpur."

Yes, I also purposefully s**t most of the time.

For those who don't know: Chittagong Divisional Stadium is a relatively new stadium close to the BOB. It is also known as Bir Shrestha Shahid Ruhul Amin Stadium and is NOT the MA Aziz Stadium located in the middle of the city. The most beautiful stadium I've been to in Bangladesh is Rangamati Stadium, located in by far the most beautiful Bangladeshi city.

Sadly, they ALL have filthy, stinky toilets ... :(

Spot on.

Also add another stadium in Mymensingh.

I want a stadium in Pabna.
Most of the time the way our boys play, the logistics cost for transporting them to a "nearby hospital" would be minimal.

Treatment would be swift.

But...but...what about Sreesanth? Did India build a stadium near the jungle for him?

I protest this idea :(

Yeah, what's this about BD and filthy/stinky public toilets? Are people made to wait long such that when they do get a chance to reprieve, it turns into a rainbow coalition, arching gloriously across all but the Poshchim sky, before dripping shamelessly onto the stall.
