Bangladesh cruise to 178 run victory over Bermuda
18 February 2008
Bangladesh made light work to see off Bermuda in their opening match of the ICC Under-19 World Cup as they registered an impressive 178 run victory over a hapless Bermuda at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur today.
Sent into bat by Bermuda skipper Rodney Trott, Bangladesh piled up 260/8 in the stipulated 50 overs which proved too much for Bermuda who could only manage 82 before being shot out in 26.1 overs.

It wasnt an easy walk in the park while BD batting, In one point BD was struggling losing 3 quick wicket ( 5/130), a literally middle order collapse. Thanks to N.Hossain and A.Islam, they fixed the innings and later paced the innings brilliantly.

A convincing big win at the end, well done BD boys.

In the scorecard on Cricinfo

It shows that Shuvo got 4 wkts and Mahmudul Hasan got 2 wkts.

Bang U-19s v Ber U-19s scorecard (http://usa.cricinfo.com/u19wc2008/engine/match/316977.html)

So which one is right? 3 wkts and 3 wks?

I guess TC got it wrong once again.

I think he did. This this is the quote from his report:

" Mr. Extra was the highest scorer for Bermuda as Rodney Trott was the only other notable name on the scorecard with a 37 ball 20."

Thanks for pointing it out. Corrected.

I followed Cricinfo, didn't notice that they have changed the wicket tally for Shuvo and Hasan.

Great start by the boys, but as expected.

We need one very important victory against the English.
