Is there any batsman for whom you would give up your sleep to watch him bat?
I have many but right now I really enjoy watching Ian Bell bat.

Viv Richards. I am sure even at this age he can take on Steyn. Another one from the past would be De Silva.

In real life, I give up sleep to watch these pathetic BD batsmen play. Such is my sad state of affairs. (By the way I tag along my wife with me, so that I am not the only one miserable in the morning)

Agreed. As I said recently, if you wanna receive cognitive therapy then watch them! This will test whether or not you have ample equanimity to endure that.;)

Most of them are awesome so it's understandable. Stay up for Sibanda and Masakadza? You gotta be outside your mind.

don't know if they are treat to eyes a la ash, aftab, tendy, yuvvy, and some others. but make no mistake, sibanda at least is highly talented. just cuz they play for zim doens't mean they dont have skills. as bangldeshis we should know best of all.

guys like SN, ganguly, sakib whilst they might be good, have fairly ugly batting techniques (tho all 3 can play some delectable strokes).

I liked Andy Flower. He is a Zimbawean. He was one of my favourite batsman. Loved watching him bat. Zimbawae were bad then and are bad even now. Sibanda, Mazakadza and even Stuart Matsykenri are good players but not great to watch. I think of the current lot Brandon Taylor along with Shaun Williams are the only player in Zimbawae who can actually bat. A former coach of mine who opened for Barbados once told me, lot of guys can score but can't bat. I actually enjoy watching lesser known players as well. I like watching Jamie How. He's fairly orthodox, doesn't swipe across the line too much and basically plays proper cricket. I already mentioned Ian Bell who I think is a star waiting to happen. Tharanga of SL is a solid batsman. Don't know why he wasn't in the playing XI in australia. Laxman usually gets forgotten in amongst the batting giants of India but is definitely someone whose batting is worth watching. Martyn from Australia. Micheal Atherton.
