bd is going by the book now. why dhiman why not razzaq batting now. stupid decision

dhiman is in the team for his keeper batsman skills, he should be batting before the tail, easily.

stupid AshraFOOL played so selfish today. there were so many times he could have taken 2 runs. but he didn't to keep the strike. whatever he scored 38 runs still i ain't gonna like it. the ball in which he got out, before that he could get 2 runs easily but he didn't run.if they took 2 runs from that delivery he wouldn't be out. i just gave one example here, he did it so many times today. and about Roqibul? i don't understand why didn't he run? why didn't he response the Mashrafee's call? anywayz still we got 246 runs which is not bad. but we could pass 260 easily today.

240+ or 250+ is a good score on this slow wicket where ball doesnt come easily onto the bat. It will be tough for Ireland let alone any team in the world to chase down 240+ score on this wicket, not to mention Bangladesh have a descent spin attack. Over 260 would have being a super a score on this wicket and most likely assures you victory.

I would put my bet on Bangladesh on this.

True, but that was on a different wicket which was bouncier which they were used to, here it is a flatter wicket which favours the spinners. The reason BD lost was because the wicket was too bouncy for them.

Really???? Is that so?????

after 43rd over we were 201-3. don't you think you can get 60 odd runs from 42 balls with 7 wicket in hands??????? if you really don't think so then i feel pity about your cricket sense. i am not saying that we did bad but we could do better which was easy to do one stage but our batsmen couldn't take the advantages.

True, but that was on a different wicket which was bouncier which they were used to, here it is a flatter wicket which favours the spinners. The reason BD lost was because the wicket was too bouncy for them.

Actually, the WC wicket favored the spinners plenty.

I dont think that their bowling lacked quality, their fielding was very good to get 6 batsmen out for 47 runs.I hope BD can bowl and field like that to pick up six wickets for 47 runs, which I doubt very much.

Really???? Is that so?????

after 43rd over we were 201-3. don't you think you can get 60 odd runs from 42 balls with 7 wicket in hands?? i am not saying that we did bad but we could do better which was easy to do one stage but our batsmen couldn't take the advantages.

201-3 ? How about 199-2 just moments before that? We lost the following six wickets too quickly, without scoring much, except for Mash blitz. Batting fails again, if you think about it.

This is a good comeback by the Irish.

Jamal, glad you made it to the match thread :)

who is jamal btw? your are MOD and you should behave like one. the thing i said is right and you will agree with me if you saw the whole AshraFOOL innings. he didn't take few doubles which were there. but to keep the strike he took 1s.

and i don't know if you wanna bake him up for slaping that guy. if supporters cheer about them after playing so good and that makes Ash & Co. feel so good then they have to be able to hear the BOOs when they can't perfoem at all.saying sorry in the middle of press is not enough. that boy should come in front of him and slap him back.

Yes, that's the point i wanted to make and also wanted to say that this is a failure of our batsmen. 260-6 looks better than 246-8 which could've done and we had the big chance but we failed. i said only this. but someone from nowhere attacks me to saying my opinion. DAMN

Megh,
what are you complaining about? Ash scored ~40 runs in quick time, rest of the middle order didn't. If he didn't take singles , it was most likely to protect the new batsmen, or having good faith in his hitting abilities. And I don't wanna hear the Jamal incident again..if Jamal can accept the face-to-face apology, who are you not to? :mad:Move on...

I agree Bd lost their way in the end. the 10-30 over period was a tad too slow and put too much pressure in the last 10 overs. But on a brighter note, they showed they can play with singles too. And Aftab is BACK!!

You probably misread the wicket. It's too tough to rush for runs in this wicket. So the openers did the right job here.

Our main concern is to learn building partnerships before going to Pak. That is the main concern at the moment and they did it in style.

It is still possible that they can score 100 runs after 20 overs. If they do that, they will win the match. Iam waiting until the 20th over.

Mashrafe Mortaza to Strydom, no run, pushes to mid-on, Ashraful picks up the ball and has a shy at the stumps, misses it, Oh! That was close, the batsman was out of the crease.

BD has to keep the run rate to 4 runs an over or less to really defend this total. also they have to take quick wickets.
