Well the rawalpindi express is back in business with a bang.
He tore apart the delhi batting lineup with 4 wickets in 3 overs.
Still he looks short of match fitness and sharpness though he is bowling constantly around 90 mph.
He was really emotional yesterday as after a long time after lots of problems he got the chance to play.
I never liked him. But his attitude and performance after all those recent events now made me a fan of him.

yesterday, dada's captaincy was brilliant as well..... someone in eden was holding a placard saying "dada born to lead" -- so true

This guy always returns with a bang, and goes back to his original "nonsense" with another bang. And then the cycle continues.

Couldn't have put it better.

Like Harbhajan, he can't avoid controversy of some sort for too long.

IMO, Shoaib Akhter's main problem is, he can not cope with the rules of the pak dressing room. He is very much unlike Harbhajan etc., because on the field he is a big heart and I never saw him getting into altercation with the opponents. On the field he is someone who will injure the batsman with his bouncers, at the same time, he will be the first to help an injured batsman.

The pak dressing room has many restrictions that he can not follow. One of the main issue is probably the islamization, while he does not care about having gf's in tours. He is probably quite straight in talking and that does not always make him an amiable person to the people in the dressing room.

My sympathy to him, because he is just wasted by the PCB.

Completely agreed. He needed a captain who cajoled him, believing in him and an administrator who make him center of universe like SRK. Shoeb would repay. Since Aqram and Shahariyar Khan Pakistan have none. I saw how dada cajoled him to bowl the crucial third over. He was clearly unfit and did not want to bowl. But dada pursued him and he repaid with 2 wickets

That bowling spell against Delhi was something to watch.
Simply mesmarizing.

Those sort-of-freaky things are only possible by true genius of the game, guys like Lara, Tendulkar, Gilchrist and from bowlers Warne,Murali and Shoaib.

As much as i hate him, he is a something out of ordinary for sure.
He single handedly brought KKR back into this race.

Worth every penny.

But as Kabir said, this "bang" wouldnot last long, soon he would find innovative ways to get himself into some more trouble.

I wonder what he was upto later that night in victory party......
