I do not understand why he is not a regular of the team?>?????????

Our selectors ... they have biased policies ... very complicated ... but they do exist ... otherwise SN wouldnt still be there ... he would hav ebeen dropped juist like bashar ... he performs like once every 50 games ... and most of his good scores are against weak teams ...

sorry for goin off topic

but where is Enamul Haque Jnr. and why isn't he on the national side?

SN and Enamul are somewhat comparable - both are excellent performers against Zimbabwe (SN in ODI, Enamul in Test), but are useless against better teams. Both are talented, but are struggling to make proper applications of their talents.

Looks like Enamul is about to lose his 6-month contract with the board.

http://cricket.bdnews24.com/bangla/details.php?cid=26&id=29007#tp29007

(Sorry for the Bangla deficient, I have not found the source in English yet. It says that BCB has decided not to extend the 6 month contract with the following: Pilot, JO, Tushar, Rajin, Enamul & Najmul)

Enamul's doing just fine by all accounts:

Haque does damage in Golcar's first loss

BANGLADESHI spinner Enamul Haque jnr produced two ‘cracking deliveries’ to remove Golcar’s two big dangermen as Honley inflicted the first defeat of the season on the Colne Valley’s Premiership leaders.
Leading run-scorer Steve Whitwam and Australian all-rounder Tim Welsford were both undone by wickedly turning deliveries from the 21-year-old from Sylhet, who put a brake on the League-leaders after they were well set.
Whitwam, who scored seven fours in his 51 and Craig Horner (31) had lifted Golcar to 70-1 following the early loss of Micky Illingworth.
But Haque’s introduction into the attack slowed the scoring and Horner then fell at the opposite end to Ritchie Howarth which started the slide.
Welsford became Haque’s first victim, and when he also slid one through Whitwam’s usually watertight defence, Golcar were in trouble.
Ben Robshaw hit a quick 18 and James Sykes a studious 26 as the leaders closed on 165-7, Haque finishing with three for 41.
“He’s a very impressive and dangerous bowler, who I’m sure is going to get a lot of wickets for us this season,” said Howarth, a beneficiary of Haque’s tight spell at the other end.
Honley openers John Greaves (20) and Matt Cox (29) put on 51 for the first wicket, but it was Simon Kelly and Richard Jakeman who steered the League champions home, putting on 113 for the third wicket with Kelly (61no) hitting 10 fours and Jakeman (benefiting from being called back to the crease by sporting stumper Simon Walker), cracking four fours and six in an unbeaten 47.
Delph & Dobcross moved into joint top spot after inflicting misery on Skelmanthorpe who crashed to a nine-wicket defeat, while Barkisland stayed fourth after clattering Clayton West by seven wickets, Paul Winrow (67no) again among the runs.
Paul van den Berg hit 52 and Steve Glover 31 as Clayton were bowled out for 130, Love Ablish and Matt Steers each taking three wickets.
Elland won the dress rehearsal for next week’s Sykes Cup-tie at Micklehurst as Cameron Borgas (83no) and Lee Baxter (69) led the run spree as the visitors made 257-8 before Jimmy Thornton struck with four for 31.
Meanwhile, the day’s best bowling return came from Shepley’s Craig Glover who grabbed a hat trick in his six for 31 haul from 20 overs.
Glover bowled Alan Greenwood, had Matt Friedlander stumped and then had Amir Shahzad caught behind as Shelley stumbled to 132-9.
Lascelles Hall helped their cause with an eight-wicket win over Meltham (Mike Fraine making 69), while Holmfirth claimed only their second win of the season, beating prime relegation candidates Emley Clarence, Javed Iqbal senior taking five wickets, while Pat Moors hit an unbeaten 50 for the vanquished side.
Scholes opened up a commanding 10-point gap at the top of the Cedar Court Conference after brushing aside Hall Bower, while their nearest rivals Broad Oak collapsed against Marsden in a low-scoring game.
Andy Alsop took out the top of Bower’s batting with five for 63, only evergreen Tim Collier (53no) holding Scholes up for any length of time, before Shoaib Khan continued his excellent form with 69 in an eight-wicket romp.
Jack Hargreaves had four wickets for Broad Oak as Marsden crumbed to 115 all out, but the Oak slumped to Sam Hall and Andy May, the latter crucially taking three for six to seal a seven-run win for the visitors.
Kirkheaton stepped up to second spot after their eight-wicket win over Frank Platt strugglers Lepton. Chris Murdoch made an unbeaten 62.
FP leaders Slaithwaite encountered no problems at Armitage Bridge, where Kana Vaghela took four for 12 from 12 overs and Nigel West four for seven to roll the Bridge for 58.
Dave Berry made an unbeaten 33 in reply, although it did take 26 overs to seal victory.
Pre-season fancies Kirkburton moved up the table after crushing Linthwaite by nine wickets, and that despite a ton from visiting skipper Deighton Butler.
Gavin Brooke hit eight fours in an unbeaten 57, putting on 192 for the fourth-wicket with Butler (110) including 13 fours and fives sixes.
But that was surpassed by Darren Hinchliffe (98) and Andrew Smith (89no) who put on 199 for the first wicket to set up victory.
Jawad Hamid took five for 21 and Kala Khan four for 54 as Almondbury won again.

He is currently playing for a suburban club team, not for any county.

According to Prothom-Alo, selectors are currently very unhappy with Enamul. He has skipped playing in the academy cup on excuse of a leg injury, then he went to play club cricket in England without taking any permission from the board. This is why his contract has not been extended.

If the info is correct, then it looks like in this case its not the selectors/executives who are at fault but rather its Jr. himself is at fault.

I guess Jr. was fedup as he was not getting chances. but still he shouldn't have acted like that. And yeah i knew it wasn't a county team... thanks anyway Eshen bhai.

I saw that Cameron Borgas is playing in that league. Who is a sometimes state player in Australia. So you would think that Enamul could be playing in a higher league.

We really are not so well stocked with talent that we can afford to let an Enamul Jr. go by the way side. We really need Jamie or someone to make Enamul his project - he really can be a match winner for us.

Kalpage worked as a spin bowling coach with Sri Lanka team, I would love to see him working with Enamul. Unfortunately Enamul has some other idea.

This report (http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport-news/cricket-news/2008/04/28/barkisland-bounce-bank-in-style-86081-20830187/) shows that Enamul was playing for Honley as early as 26th April. This was the same time period our academy was facing Pakistan academy (who had sent a very strong side) in four-day matches. Enamul apparently made up the foot injury excuse just so to avoid playing for the academy. Remind you back then he was a still a contracted player to BCB. After this deception, I can't blame selectors if they want to treat him harshly.
