Xavier Marshall blasted the most sixes in a one-day international innings as he demolished Canada's bowlers and set up a 49-run victory for West Indies. Marshall's 12 sixes broke a 12-year-old record (http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/ci/content/records/283127.html) of 11 in an innings, set in 1996 by Sanath Jayasuriya and equalled six months later by Shahid Afridi.

Congrats to Xavier.

Breaking Sanah's record not a good news for Bangladesh. He will want it back when SL will tour BD at the end of December.

oops did not see it has already been equalled by Afridi.

its not that he stopped hitting sixes. i don't think this record would last long.

WI is gradually becoming a stronger side. You can see the upward trend of the graph in naked eyes. They are constantly picking players who adapt to this level very fast. The selectors must be having trained eyes.

Unfortunately you see an opposite trend with BD.

Nothing would please me more (in cricket terms) than to see Windies in the top 3 again. Its just not cricket without them.
