Don't ask, don't expect. Just watch the Night-riders-Destination-Unknown.

Get mentally prepared for heavy loss. If they do anything better then you will be happy. When BD playing ODI pessimism is the way to go...

We won the toss. Will be batting. Again.

Hannan gone

bd_cricket
November 12, 2003, 03:29 AM
Hannan was dropped in the last ball he faced.
Bashar was lucky to get the last 4. Could have been out.

11.5 Kirtley to Habibul Bashar, FOUR, pitches just outside off and
swings in, drives and gets big iner edge just passed teh
outstretch hands of Keeper to fine leg boundary

25 for 1, at the end of the 10th over. Exactly 25 short of a halfway decent batting, but not bad, considering..

billah
November 12, 2003, 03:32 AM
Bashar was completely stumped. He just woke up, took his usual rash shot, then ran Hannan out.

bd_cricket
November 12, 2003, 03:34 AM
I think today we tried 9th or 10th new opening partners with hannan and moniruzzaman and didn't work out as usual.

billah
November 12, 2003, 03:36 AM
35/2, the same old feeling..

billah
November 12, 2003, 03:38 AM
Moniruzzaman was there unnecessarily anyways.

In the first ODI, disaster struck right after the drinks (16th over). In the second one, we were already in deep trouble by the 16th. Today, 43/2 at the drinks, no wickets fell on the 17th over. Don't want to jinx anything...

so far so good....may be the plan is to see off our nemesis flintoff....coz we better accelerate soon if we wanna make a meal of it.

This is how BD used to play ODIs in the early days. Often, they would bat out the alloted overs with small totals.

bd_cricket
November 12, 2003, 04:08 AM
Flintof only conceded 6 runs in 5 overs.
Our batsmen are too scared of him.

bd_cricket
November 12, 2003, 04:10 AM
Is this a record: BD won the toss all the matches in a series and loses all the matches (I wish not).

billah

Half the overs are gone, 66 runs. Is our fate sealed in this game?

Zobair

billah
November 12, 2003, 04:22 AM
Mushfiq in? We need Alok now, not Mushfiq!

billah
November 12, 2003, 04:25 AM
Clarke also went for 9 runs in that over.

bd_cricket
November 12, 2003, 04:27 AM
they discovered alok has a problem with the newer ball - so they will send him after 25 overs.

Zobair

182 all out... quite good... given the overall innings... :) Flintoff shud have stayed in England for this series... he will again score a half century in record time :(
