One of the few players that can legitimately say that BCB was not fair to them. Rafique and Pilot were also neglected by BCb for a good part of their career. It's sad that the people who complained were actaully not good enough to be in the playing eleven (Sumon for one).

AshDAFOOL got 130 ODis, yet Kapali had to fight for a spot. WTG Kapali.

Nafees was in true minnow basher form against the worst team in the league. No surprise there. However, MOM goes to Kapali for his tight bowling and the 48*.

We never really gave him a good stretch of matches after the first time he was dropped eons ago. He will be back though - sooner than most people here would predict.

DW still has to play Lahore, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh. DW beat the two bottom placed teams Delhi and Mumbai. DW probably will have to win all three matches to make it to the Semis. just one look at the board will tell you that this will be a tough task for them. Still, best of luck.

Well batted especially SN and Alok.

Tomorrow's match between the Lions and the Tigers is crucial for us and we'll need Chandigarh to lose tomorrow so that they don't cause us any trouble in the table. Kolkata are more or less through and we've already played them.

As happy as I am over the win I can't get over the holes in the squad.

We don't have a single consistent pacer.

Our batsmen outside the Top 4 are very poor which explains why we can't score in the last overs.

We must have Mosharraf fit for the next match.

Good win by DW. Great innings by Alok. SN played well. As he always play well against minnows. Aftab shows why he is not a reliable person when u want to rely on him. No change what so ever. DW is growing up as a team. Still failed to see any position for Bashar in the team.Tapash made a good decision to play ICL. With this quality no future for him in BD national side.

How the hell SN, Aftab put so much fat on them? No one to check and balance?

How the hell SN, Aftab put so much fat on them? No one to check and balance?

If you think that these two are fat, then surely you will also find Alok, Ashraful, Mash and company to be fat. Almost all the Bd players contain some sort of bhuri barring Shakib and Shahadat.

Kapali now has 250 runs, 54 runs clear off Hamish Marshall who is second in the list. His average is now 62.50, second highest in the league behind Badani's 71.00(mind you Badani has batted in only 2 innings and was NO in one case). Interesting fact everyone else in the Top 5 run-scorers list are openers while Kapali bats at #4. Aftab is the next Warrior on the list, he is at #6 with 144 runs and an average of 28.80.

Mosharraf Hossain is the most prolific bowler for the Warriors in the league. He stands at #6 with 7 wickets at an average of 17.71. He is followed by Mohammad Rafique who is at #12 with 6 wickets at 22.33.

I agree. I was checking the averages of those Indian players who are members of the losing Mumbai team. Most batsmen had First Class averages above 40. One of them has FC avg of 50+ whereas the guy at the lower order that made fifty has an FC avg of 22 something. As I was following Cricinfo and also this forum as a guest I was wondering what takes our recent national team bowlers to get a wicket of such a poor averaged cricketer.

It made me further dig the players of other teams which gave me quite a shabby picture of the actual condition of Indian domestic cricket. The truth is as soon the SRT the batting trio completely retires the Indian team will only win against BD, not even a bleak WI can escape a win from them.

They will win against BD not because they are better, that because BD forgot to win after DW/HB era.

Some of the better performance may be because of the absence of a mental block. Shane Bond may not look as fearsome when wearing a Delhi Giants shirt. Also when someone starts hammering the bowling regularly, the others may also start thinking like "if Kapali can do it, why can't I ?" There is also not the intense pressure that is there when playing for Bangladesh or even IPL.
