View Full Version : Stanford 20/20 For 20

It was a pleasure to find Bravo hitting a big SIX on second ball of the last over and win Trinidad & Tobago a huge 280000 USD defeating Middlesex 4 balls to spare.

I personally believe the introduction of Stanford Super Series could not be in any better time which hopefully revive the charm of Calypso cricket after a disappointing retirement of cricket's most talented batsman ever from the field and a worsening performance in the Carribean World Cup.

Following is the full fixture:

These low scoring matches are quite entertaining, since the chasing batsman have a very good chance of making their total.

Go Supersstars, they need the money more than the overpaid english

Very true. England players do get paid well compared to some other countries.

I saw Superstars batting the other day against Middx and that Andre fletcher was absolutely awesome.

We know now who wanted the money. Its greedy England, they choked under pressure. They are good for nothing. Their team selction was really biased, just went for their ODI team. Players like Graham Napier who dominated English T20 scoring big century was not even given a chance. In contrast Stanford Superstars were mix of youth and experience. Plyaers who did well in regional T20 in carribean were given chance. Very fair selection.

Well done Sir Stanford for being fair and selecting a best team. WI Cricket board has big headache now because they cant ignore Pollard,Sammy,Benn and Fletcher when it comes to T20 or even 50 overs game.

most runs list from English T20 (http://stats.cricinfo.com/countycricket2008/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?id=3640;type=tournament) Atleast 2 English batsmen should have given chance.

most Wickets (http://stats.cricinfo.com/countycricket2008/engine/records/bowling/most_wickets_career.html?id=3640;type=tournament) once again you will see Napiers name on top half.
