It's the other way around, the Lions and the Badshahs have a one-game advantage over us. We should hope that Bengal lose their next match because if we win we'll go third because of our superior NRR.

Dhaka warrior's has really good chance to qualify in semi's.But rocket will be trashed by dw.but I am worried about Lahore Badshah.this time they are not strong like last time. But We always chocked against any Pakistani team.even pakistani C OR D team also play out of their skin against any bd team.Hope dw will beat Lahore Badshah easily and qualify for semis.Momentum is with them now.

Giants are playing Heroes today. A win for Giants would elevate them to six points with one only one match left. However, They have neg RR, so DW will still be ahead of them. On the other hand, Heroes will lose some ground and depite having two games in hand, this could slow down their progress. They will still have the eight points but lower on RR.

Giants have posted a mediocre total. I don't think they can restrict Heroes with only 144 on board.

Well, one of my scenarios just played out. Giants did what DW should have done against Hyderabad. Except, they did it while defending 144 runs. Heroes also helped out with the run outs. Giants are on par with DW on points having played an extra game. Heroes now must win one of their two remaining matches to kep their hope alive for the Semis but it gives DW another chance to take the lead by winning their next two matches.

I started writing my last post with Heroes needing 12 from 2 balls and halfway thru, the equation changed to 6 off 1. Thought I may have to change my post alltogether. 1 run win in the end. Doesn't get any closer than this.

Ah, so we've reached the stage of the competition where we start worrying about what other teams are doing. If the Lions lose to the Badshahs by a small margin tomorrow, we might be maintaining our fourth position before we go out there against the Rockets on Monday.

Giants have won but the margin did little to improve their poor NRR. We are comfortably above them in the points table with a much superior NRR.

Watch Nafees loft those medium pacers with supreme authority and Alok pick up deliveries as if he was a heroine from a Bangla movie and the ball a kid suffering from malnutrition. Very few batsmen hit sixes with such great ease.

Also of note is the fact that not a single six was hit off our bowling in that game.

Like it or not, the Dhaka Warriors are getting some recognition. Even Tony Greig is impressed with this team and is comparing them to the early Sri Lankan team(the team that had won the world cup) today at Cricinfo(Tony Greig Show). Mind you, this is a guy who considered matches with Bangladesh not "international" standard. Just goes to show that the only way to win the hearts of critics is performance. I hope the Dhaka Warriors can win tomorrow's match.

There is a mismatch in the nrr of Lahore Badshah in point tables on the ICL homepage and cricinfo. Possible sources of confusion: 1) In their first match, LB batted for 5 overs only, while their opponents batted full 20 ovs. How is that counted? 2) In one match LB's opponents were allout scoring 105 before the full quota. I guess it is counted as 105 in 20 overs.

Players to watch
Like Dhaka, Shahriar Nafees has shrugged off a slow start to the tournament. His two half-centuries were the cornerstones of Dhaka's recent victories which has resuscitated their campaign
The move to push Murray Goodwin up the order has worked and he has run into form, making half-centuries in both his previous matches

I am missing it. :(
But batting first is good; because 1) Opp has a weaker bowling line up, 2) Might help in the nrr, if we win to become a contender of the semi.
