Captain Chris Cairns produced an astonishing display to lead New Zealand to 291-5 in the first of five one-day internationals in Pakistan.

He hit six sixes, including three off successive deliveries from Danish Kaneria which carried him to his fifty

Amazing. Another captains innings.

inzi plyed` well too. A great fightback by Razzak wins the day for Pakistan. Looks like an interesting series in the making.:)

Pakistan won the 1st ODI by 3 wickets.

And Abdul Razzaq replied with 47 from 22 balls.

New Zealand: 291/5 (50 ov)
Pakistan: 292/7 (48.0 ov)

what a chase by pakistan. sami showed today that he could be a capable batsmen with a little effort.

Holy Magnificent innings by Razzaq 47 runs fromm 22 balls, good good. I can't stop appreciating Sami's effort as, he served much better than ever before with the bat scoring 17 runs from just 8 balls, wow. That wasn't a fluke, was it? BTW I think that Fart aka Farhat isn't much good.

imran farhat and danish kaneria arent ODI material. both should be test only players along with taufeeq and asim kamal. i would play salman butt in the ODI's.

Danish even failed against BD, they need a new spinner or hope that Saqlain returns to form. I thought Mushi did well in England.

Anyways, Razzak's innings overwhelmed Cairns 51 ball 84 with 5 fours and 6 sixes. Check this out.
