Indian camp looks like still divided. The news of troubles between Dhoni & Shehwag might have some ground. India's T20 Performance clearly reflected that division as well. Dhoni is too powerful I guess, That's not good for the captain and the team, chances of misuse is almost 100% is the subcontinent.

Pure speculation and nothing else. India however will have to play well to win this time without Sachin, Sehwag and Zaheer.

I Sharma to DJ Bravo, OUT, high full toss, Bravo edges the attempted pull to cover where Rohit Sharma catches the ball and throws at the non-striker's end. It looked above waist-high and Bravo was expecting it to be called a no-ball. Perhaps, that's what Rohit also thought as he went for the run out. But the umpires have ruled Bravo out. No no-ball signal came and Bravo walked off unhappily.

It seems that the Windies batsmen have found form, in spite of losing the match they still chased this total and could have won the game. IMO, India was very lethargic. I felt that they thought that the Windies will never be able to pass the 300 mark, and they got a scare. They buckled down within the last 5 overs of the WI innings, or else they would have lost the match.

Bangladesh will expect the Windians to bat well in the coming series, also they are on their homeground, so they have the advantage.

June 28, 2009, 01:25 AM
You are right zainab. Indians took victory for granted after that mammoth score. And they learned an important lesson. Indian bowling was very bad....and I hope it was complacency and not incompetence. Because complacency can be taken care of immediately....but incompetence takes time to overcome.

After witnessing what is right with ODIs in the last match, we're what is wrong with this format in this one. The impending Indian defeat is a forgone conclusion but we still have hours and hours and hours of the match left.

Great job by Windies to comeback so strong and so soon, being a couple of seamers short and all. Edwards and Powell, whenever they return, will make this one of the most potent attacks in the world. Add Lawson into the mix for tests, and you have the best pace attack in recent times.

The fact that they're kicking India's @$$ is the cherry on top ...

sometimes is refreshing to see a ODI which is close fought and has a total of 350-400 runs scored, unlike the 700-run fests we get whenever india and pakistan play.

not saying that those 700 run matches aren't good, but ODIs in general have an element of classicism about them, IMHO, which T20s will never be able to match due to its brevity.
