I am not really impressed with our Under-19 team, I don't think any of them will even smell the national team.(with Nassir Hossain being the exception!)
on the other hand, I am quite excited about Azeem Rafique...for England: he might break into the national team within 3-4 years or so...
and no i do not flaunt narcissistic BS nor do i talk out of my other end...
Peace~

i am not having any interest in this match.our under 19 team is very low standard, they need good batsmen, bowler and good strategy. Our previous under 19 teams were always charming and we got so many star out of them. england under 19 team is way better than our under 19, they cant even make slight competition

Alhamdulillah!! 269 is a big total. We need to field well.
Salaam Rifat,
Have patience. Foreign conditions is always tough. For ages other test teams use to regularly lose to county teams in warm up matches because of the conditions. Take this as an experience builder. Remember how England U-19 lost 0-5 at our place few years back? I think Chris Board was in that team, wasn't he?
Have faith and these boys will out shine the old.

:floor: uncle, Chris Broad was in Eng U-19 atleast 60 years ago.
His son Stuart Broad is the new 'pretty boy' of Eng cricket, after Anderson.

Because -
1) Except for Mahmudul Hasan, players in the team don't have much experience playing outside the country, or playing at this level. This England tour was expected to be a huge learning curve for the boys.
2) England is fielding 4 overaged players. Northeast, who is close to be 20 years old, is making a huge difference in the series - playing field is just not even for our boys!

Amit Majumdar, Shaikat Ali and Anamul Haque played in the last World Cup. Also, I dont think England will breach any laws stipulated by the ICC. Its not Englands fault that BD has sent an U17 team to play them. For the umpteenth time, where is Nasir Hossain or Ariful Haque?
Instead of blaming our legendary mismanagement its quite unbecoming to find problems with ECBs selection policies. I definitely think Nannu should not be involved in any kind of coaching position at any national level. He is well known for his moody and anti-social antics. We really need a McInnes at U17/ U19 level!
