Sri Lankan offspinner Muttiah Muralitharan has said he will retire from Test cricket next year. Murali, who is the highest wicket-taker in Tests with 770 wickets in 127 Tests, announced that the two-Test home series against West Indies in November 2010 would be his last.

Something that one will ponder upon...for years to come. He's already a legend...

Bad news. Ashraful will now have an excuse to not score against Sri Lanka.

So he had to cut it short. He was eyeing on 1,000 wickets at some point. But that's impossible now.

Let him go at first. End of 2010 is far away. 1 year 4 months to go. :)
