Thinking ahead of their time?

He shall be the genius conquerer.

I can see the headlines:

Napoleon fails to conquer England at the battle of Lord's/Waterloo
Einstein can play cricket!
See? Being a geek doesn't prevent you from scoring big runs!
Napoleon caught cold in tundra-like climate.

(When he plays SA and fails)
Only EinSTEYN. (ein = 1 in German)

Barath had 2 centuries in his first 3 FC matches at the age of 17. Imagine he isn't even 20 and he has already beat down England and RSA (Their Domestic team anyways).

Barath batted 160 balls for 60-odd in his FC debut, from that time everyone knew he'd be something special. Or he has the potential to be, it definitely looks like he will he one of the few who don't waste their talent.

imteaz he scored 130 or so against the english before the test series in the caribbean

http://www.cricinfo.com/wiveng2009/engine/current/match/352671.html

he is a player who actually delivers not all talk at all like some others...

And the fact that was his twenty20 domestic cricket debut is pretty good

averages 46 in first class as well

known about this kid for awhile, wasn't brian lara the one who found this guy? he was picked for his first national squad for the recent series against BD, but he boycotted with the others.

Brian lara found him batting in the nets when he was 11

had a full defensive technique and all even at that age

After a FC Century against England, (yes Lendl Simmons scored 282, but Barath has been making runs since U-15), and showing off his technique. This kid seems very special.

I decided to watch his batting in a mirror. His batting style is similiar to Lara who is the best batsman i hv seen and i love his batting. Watching in mirror wl gv me Lara flavour.

Guess what? Ashraful had a 158* not out on his first ever test against Sri Lanka. DO you not think tons of article where written about him throughout the world glorifying him? And now he is trash.

So we can not evaluate how good he is until he finished his career.

I've watched Cricket for the best part of 40 years, I watched WI from the peak to the downfall. I've seen many opening batsmen come and go. I played nearly 30 FC Matches myself and opened a few times. I've been impressed by what I've seen so far.

Having said that you're right, but you somehow know on the inside when you see something special.
