Disappointed mijan bhai. Red arrows for you. :P

the same can be done with any of our players and any first XI man from the top 6-7 teams. the worst top 7 batsmen from legit sides still average around 35. your brenden macullums, your mark bouchers, your brendan nash's.

our best test bat of recent times is mushy and he averages a *mere* 37 over the past 15 months.

that alone tells the story.

nonetheless, we have at times fought tooth and nail against the likes of SL, SA, NZ at home and this is why we get excited and continue to follow a team of 25 averages.

Cook has a recorded national cricketing history & culture of almost 200 years. Ash has 10 years. Lets make such comparison of BD/Eng youngstars atleast after 25 more years.

Surprisingly, I found Ash quiet competitive, as a BD player :) By god, 5 centuries, Neck to neck HS in similar number of matches, Even thought of it, could cause nightmares for any BD cricketer 10 years back.

Well done Ash and hope the Next generation will make us more competitive & proud.

How many ways can one point out that Ash suck!?

I think Ash should no longer be the bench mark of BD batting. That honour should go to Mushfiq/ Tamim / Shakib or even Rakibul.

Ash had very good avg in 2006/2007. 2008/2009 were horrible. Hopefully it will get better.

England have lots of players with nice surnames.

Cook, Sidebottom, Onions, Mustard, Lamb

How about this.....c Mustard b Onions or c Cook b Onions.
