Mashrafe didn't attract a bid because he wil be playing (at least benchwarming) in the IPL.

If 4000 pound is the highest bid, I don't think they will be making much money from this PCL.

PCL auction is slightly different. I think it's 4000 pounds per match.

That could be it. At least that's how it was last time.

Who is that idiot team, who couldn't resist the temptation?

Who took Tamim? For how much? He should be the one who should also maxed out.

What about Ryiad and Naeem? There are the other two who should go higher price.

wow Ashraful is still selling for 3000 pounds a match???

if for whatever reason Ash gets 3K/match then for whatever reason Mashrafee should have been picked for sth close...

they are both in kind of the same situation now... 'superstar in ppl's mind but cant deliver at the moment'

Real idiot is the one paying Shakib so high. He always sucks in domestics, especially in T20 format.

Comparing to him, Ashraful is a much better performer in domestics.

This is semi domestic would be held in overseas. Four foreign players can play right? Soon you will visit "I was wrong" thread.

It is a crime to compare Shakib's worth in any format with Ash's. Shakib's 4 overs quota is enough.

just because he fails all the time there is not guarantee he will fail again, and just because ashraful performs in domestic league all the time doesn't mean he will perform. Also we are playing at UAE we are not playing at our home so its a different atmosphere you can't really tell who will click and who won't.

I hope the teams will play some practice matches when they get there so they can get familiar with the conditions.

Compare to Ash, Sakib is underpaid. Sakib's bowling alone should be 3000 pound.

I was thinking the same thing, even is Shakib scores a duck, his 4 overs can make the difference in a game.

If ashraful batting worth 3000 pounds...Shahadat's batting worth : 5000 pounds minimum

When is this competition starting? Seems like the guys will be getting a nice trip to the UAE.
Crowd will be good, because there are lots of SL, Pakistani, Indian and BD expatriates and I am sure that they will be happy to see some 20/20 cricket.

I think 4000 US$/Game was the roof price. No one was allowed to bid over it, and from what I have heard at least 5 franchisees bid 4000 US$/game for Shakib, and the winner of the bid was picked via a lottery.
Assuming Shakib will play at 7-8 games, this tournament will give him 30000$. Not bad for a week's work :)

I can't believe that happens. I would find that so annoying. It would be strange to see that in England. I can't imagine a news broadcast halfway through a football match.
