I think he is a bowler. Why not applause a great effort by the team rather than flog the individual?

yes, we should be more concerned about his bowling, which is not upto his mark.

2-year old news. Downhill since that NCL "almost-100" 3 years ago. Never liked him to begin with and probably never will. Sorry but the combination of chucking and bad fielding bothers me. Would be thrilled to see his kind leave international cricket forever. Schmo!

More importantly, he forgot how to turn the ball as well. Forget his batting, we have batsmen upto #8. but we needed a better spinner in Raz.

Rajjak's bowling was not good in this test. Bring Nur hossain. The English commentators praised him for his big turn. Currently we need a good turner of the ball in the team

A leg spinner will be just perfect for our team. Maybe Nur Hossain, Shabbir?

Shahadat should have sent in front of him. Today Shahadat batted extremely well against Swan. I was very much impressed the way he defended Swan.

You kidding? Abdur Razzak never knew how to bat.

In fact, I'm quite disappointed to see that neither of our specialist bowlers (from Shahadat Hossain to Rubel Hossain) have learnt anything about batting from Siddons.

when did he know how to bat? making wild swings and connecting a few doesn't make you a batsman. beside I thought he was in the team to bowl.

Razzak was never a good choice ahead of Enamul. Even in his (Razzak's) hay day he wasn't a good choice for tests and wasn't picked. The selection of him in the this test is as baffling as Aftab's inclusion who used to not get picked in tests even when he was a potent force in onedayers for us. And I know, no matter what we think, the same team will be picked for the 2nd test because of the fight they showed.

Don't know about that, I thought he was very handy with the bat in his position at number 9 and had a healthy ODI average for a while.

Ever since he came back from his forced absence he's been diabolical though.

And as you said, our tail as a whole is awful. In an era in which it's normal for the tailenders in a number of test teams (England, Australia most notably) to provide 50-80 runs, ours rarely manages 20.
