HOT FROM PRESS::
The Indian team management has lodged an angry protest against umpire Steve Bucknor for his "unbecoming conduct" during the day-night encounter against Australia in Sydney.

Bucknor , it is learnt, rolled his fingers over the ball, looking at Dravid rather tauntingly, when he arrived in to bat. The insinuation was direct and blatant. The team, in fact, found it deplorable and took the extreme step of reporting it to ICC Match Referee Clive Lloyd.

Dravid, it may be recalled, had been penalised 50 per cent of his match fees by Lloyd for changing the condition of the ball during an earlier game against Zimbabwe at the Gabba. The team had claimed that it was an accident, an innocent mistake.

Manager Shivlal Yadav confirmed to Times News Network that the team had complained to Lloyd on Sunday evening itself. "He promised to look into it," Yadav told this reporter.

P.S. This is interesting. Bucknor shouldn't have imitated on the field..unprofessional..I have seen that during Dravid's entry and Tony Greig commentator then laughed about it. It is very unbecoming of Bucknor as a supposedly neutral umpire.

Do that stuff in the umpire's tea room or something, behind closed doors. Not in the middle of the match involving the side you're making fun of. How then can people trust his judgement in making calls?
