For my team-

I am opposed to two batsmen going gung-ho same time at any format. IMO, Mushfiq should open with Tamim (which should also give Mushfiq extra time he needs to settle), followed by Imrul and Ashraful.

For both group matches, we should go with a spin heavy attack. IMO, Shakib should open with Mash, while Shafi should be saved for late overs.

I agree with Eshen bhai we should not bowl pacers from both end together, that's just suicidal. Opponents can easily pick up 40 runs in 2 overs.

I'm all for letting Ash or Aftab open with Tamim. they just might click and if we can use the power play to our advantage we should be able to score around 10 runs an over in the first 5 over or so. We have to keep the tempo up right from the get go, if we fall behind right from the beginning our chances of bringing up the run rate is very low, we don't have any yusuf pathan in our line up.

If not for Razzak removing Shak and Rock in quick succession, there would not be any chance for BU to win the match. They should have used someone else for the last over, but I guess there was no one better. Razzak still did a good job bowling out Nasir in time.

As highlighted in BOLD, I would like to see Riyad open to batting..I believe he can anchor the innings for 20 overs..yes he takes about 10 balls to get himself in but once he gets going, he can emulate a constant flow to the innings and accelerate near the end (a bit like what Kallis is doing for Bangalore).

Plus I dont see the point in having 4 blasters at the top and end up being 50-4 off 7 overs then end up making 125..155-160 should be our base score in all the games we play..

I am bit concerned with Razzak with his legside bowling..if they decide to open the bowling with a spinner (which i feel they should) they should open up with Shakib especially against the likes of Imran Nazir and Warner who will find the slower bowlers difficult to get away..

i think in t20s there are a lot of options when it comes to who can open. prob best to put someone who takes a bit of time to get into the innings so i'd say mushy, riyad or naeem. but in saying that if ash or aftab are in the team at all it should be either as opener or lower order, doesn't matter what format you're playing you need a strong middle order and those 2 just make it really weak even in this format. to easy to spark a collapse with them in the team imo.

T20 is all together a different form of game. If you miss a catch, that changes the game entirely. Bowling at the last five overs require special skills and knowledge. Same for last 5 overs of batting. If can't score 8+ an over during last 5 overs, the team loses.

We don't have the practice and mindset to face bowlers like Lasith Mallinga, Shaun Tate or Shane Bond. We will face Pakistan and Australia and I believe we don't have any chance. We may score some runs if we are lucky on Tamim, Naeem, shakib and Zohurul. We will get creamed if Mashraffe/Rubel do not put their T20 type bowling act together.

IN 2007 Ash and Aftab scored most of the runs against the WI, but that was against a lazy WI, they were also lucky that they got Gayle out quickly. IMO, luck also plays a great part in 20/20s.
I still feel that after2 years, BD players have no clue as to how to play 20/20 cricket, wants to hit every ball for a six, they do not have a plan in mind and each player do not know what their role in the team is. Most teams try to score 100 runs after the 12th or 13th over, but what I have noticed in the IPL, if the team batting first does not score over 170 runs, then they will lose, the other team will chase. I dont think BD can make 170 runs batting first.

ermm it is my opinion and I based my opinion on his performances internationally..in our recent ODI games where riyad was batting down the order, i felt he took up too many balls and fell 15-20 runs short as a result
