True but even if these two batsmen find it easy to bat in the morning, they will still have hard time getting the same fluency back if it rains. I say, if it has to rain then it's better be from the start. But any additional moisture could be deadly for our shortish batsmen (though we have 2 of our tallest batting at the moment).

Pretty sure they can avoid the follow on. If you think about it BD top order has always been the concern. BD have Ashraful, no idea what he will do but shakib, mushfik and mullah have been the most consistent beside Tamim, so if they fire BD can look to 400+. If one those middle order batsman can get a 100 that would really be helpful. Plus England bowled poorly, if they continue this way BD have a chance

You'd think what the top 4 scored the last 6 will easily double that. So an expected score should be around 400, but avoiding follow on is the least the rest of the batsment could do, anything less would be criminal.

If your prediction comes true then may god bless you with 10 healthy fish eggs.
But Riyad and Mushy have been in bad forms (well I guess the whole team, but Jahurul, have been since they arrived in UK) and Shakib is out of batting practice. And anything from Ash is a bonus. So let's hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Betaar, do us a favour mate, dont watch the game tomorrow.
If you gonna be this scared after just one good day, i think you'd be much better off that way.
Most of the members here are following the game long enough to know what to expect from our team. Its way too a common story for us. Been like that for a long time now.
But as a die hard fan, if you give up and trying to do all those damage control, do it urself. Be a bit more positive. If you cant, atleast please dont contaminate the whole lot with your "I'm scared shi**ess, so everyone jump right in" statement.
Busk in the glory while you can. Think of ideas how it can repeated for next few days. We all know about the weather forecast tomorrow and in all likely possibility, it would be tough day, but this "embrace yourself for a shocker" thread is really uncalled for, imho that is.

I'll only be satisfied if BD score 500.
Comeon man, we need to look for big. 350, 400 wont do. You people need to have your heads high when even Bhim can score 43 and Tamim get out in the most unexpected way. Also, if u havent noticed our batsmen have survived today. We need to play at least the whole of tomorrow, and then we get England to bat. We wont declare, thats impossible, rather use our tail enders as slogger, even Mushy and Riad
Also, we need to get the English out on the 4th day, and then get the runs on 5th day, and we win the match.
I hoped it was that simple
BUT OUR MAIN GOAL SHOULD BE TO DRAW
If we can score that much runs and then the rain breaks of

Let's just worry about crossing follow on first we can worry about the rest later. With our batting line up nothing is impossible. Remember that test against India where we had 10+ runs lead with like 6 wickets remaining or something. and then we collapsed in matter of like 7 overs and India only had to chase down 30+.

One thing, most of my hopes regarding BD fell to mud, but I never lose hope
We are the BDeshis, we fought against Women Education, Language, Liberation, and the Jongis. We were the victorious men even if we seemed to be on the back foot all the time
I have the guts to say that :flag: team is better than team India, do you agree my buddies. They might be filthy rich, but that doesnt change the outcome
When the Indians fall into the Tiger's den, they cant flee.

Well, one of my friends visiting BD at that time was watching that test match on TV and in the morning when Bangladesh was still doing good, he dicided to go to the stadium. By the time he got there fighting the traffic, it was all over in 30 mins. But then again traffic in Dhaka could have one stuck long enough to have the Ozzie team all out.......

See what happens is, when a team scores 500 + runs against a team, minnow team for that matter, they starts to take things lightly when the comes to field. And thats what happens. But over the night they realizes they better pull up their pants and fix their attitude. And when they do, we collapse. And over the night, we start to celebrate, as if we already won the game. And on the next day we throw it away. It's really important to stay in the same mindset.

Lol nah...if I was that scared of being upset, I would have stopped cheering for this team long ago. I don't want to have any unrealistic expectations and be upset...but hoping we can avoid the follow on is a realistic possibility and if we can't even hope for that then why be a fan? We have come a long way from those ICC trophy days...and that progress is a result of raising the bar of expectations (from players, management and fans) slowly; not just by saying...oh well we are gonna lose anyway. :)

lol same thing happened to my friend. he was supposed to join me after lunch and bring me biryani. well he came to watch Mushfique score the 2 runs to get the lead and I enjoyed my biryani :p the previous day and even the morning session was fun though. Some reporters and mushfique's dad was yelling out instructions to Tamim and Shahadat ( night watchman) the whole time. What a fine performance today. This might be a glimpse of the future. Fear not Bangladesh fans, playing youth would ultimately play dividends. As I stated yesterday, anything less than a 2-0 victory for England would be a clear upset and with a bit of health from weather, this test could end in a draw. Tamim played rather well and I do hope the young man is snapped by by a county. It would do wonders for himself and the rest of the team. Let us look forward to a good sporting contest tomorrow.

This bowling attack is not that threatening. Anderson is out of form, Finn is extremely inexperienced and Bresnan isnt lethal or anything. Swann will be the main threat. Plus now that BD have played almost this identical bowling attack a month ago they are more experienced. Any other international team would take this England attack bar Swann to the cleaners. This bowling attack is to Aus, SA and India what BD bowling attack is to England.

On that rain issue..found an interesting comment at the end of BBC Match Report of the day (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/cricket/england/8712148.stm):
At this rate, the rain forecast for Saturday afternoon may provide relief for England's bowlers, rather than Bangladesh's batsmen - and few would have countenanced such a thought at the start of the match.

It was a horrible day to bat on. Any sub-continent team plus West Indies team would have struggled equally under those murky skies and fading lights.
The afternoon session was a farce. I hope there is some sunlight tomorrow.
PLease don't blame our boys for todays poor show. This stop start play under those cloud covers and rain in the air made England bowlers extra-ordinary. A clear sky tomorrow can defnitely shed the extra tag from the English bowlers.

This applies for day 5 too. Just keep in mind, we only have 109 lead. Full day left. So if we want at least a draw, then we must bat till little after lunch, or get lead over 250. So we are not at all safe. There is a good chance of losing badly still.
