Holland lacks few more good players ..Otherwise nothing can daunt their first ever world cup victory.

But it will be really enjoyable match since none of them won any title.

So we will definitely have a brand new World Champion. The two best teams not to have won the World Cup squaring off. Doesn't get any better. I have been converted into a Dutch supporter. Sneijder is just about my favouritest player in the whole wide world right. I really hope Man U get him. Robben is pure class. I also rate De Jong and Van Bommel very highly. But if Spain play like they played prior to the World Cup they should win it. But fingers crossed come on Holland!

Howard Webb to Referee in final. Here is some fact about him:
*According to his wife he struggles to control his own wife
*He is a ManU fan and he has reputation of bias reffing towards ManU
* In final he will not get any ManU player to assist but he can do some harm to some of L'pool and Arsenal players. He can also do some favour to Sneijder who is in link to join MU.
*Above all he is doing fair job so far and involved in some of the upset matches.

Above all he is doing fair job so far and involved in some of the upset matches.

he is normally the best English referee when MAN UTD or their rivals are not in action in the game he is in charge.

and its really a interesting thing that he was involved in spain's loss to SWISS and Itlay's to slovakia. though could not make an upset in the brazil vs chile game.

Octopus mama jehetu bolei diechen tho Sonka kishe! Spain fans should start celebration.

hang on .............

in EURO 2008 ... octopus made only one WRONG prediction. it was in the final, when octopus predicted German to win but eventually Spain won.

octopus never had 100% record in prediction. that's why German were hopeful that though octopus predicted Spain, still Germany can actually win the semi, given that he is bound fail at least once.

now so with so far octopus having 100% record, and given that he never finishes with 100% record .... he is certainly gonna make a mistake in one of the remaining two games.

also i knew that octopus makes prediction for Germany games. why chose a game not involving Germany ???

Bhais, just a little side note.
We all love Paul. I do too. He is fascinating.
But be very careful not to mix up between having a good laugh and SHIRK.

Just a reminder, specially to the young ones, just because Paul said, its gonna happen. Please dont think like that. Only Allah knows best.

Dont mean to step into anyone's shoes here, but I felt compelled to express my worries. Thats all.

Paraguay , Portugal, Chile all outplayed Spain in the 1st half of their games. And Spain scored the only goal of the match in 3 matches in the 2nd half....

Based on that, Holland should ideally try to rattle and press Spain in the first half, and then go all out attack in the 2nd.....

I don't think so because champion (campeón) is masculine.

I have worked many years in Spain and hardly seen people use campeón for Espana. It depends where to use. For example you can not use campeóna for Brasil. España is feminine but Brasil is masculine. Here is one example I was reading from Fifa website(Spanish version) yesterday:

When it comes to octopus facts, on of the more amazing ones is that it has absolutely no bones. The only structure anatomical structure is the beak around the mouth, which is similar to your fingernails. By the way, octopuses’ bites are poisonous to their prey.

The octopus has an excellent eyesight and well-developed brain. It can instantly change the color and texture of its skin to match the surrounding area. This camouflage is a major method of protection.

The body of the octopus looks like a bag. It moves as the octopus breathes. Inside the mantle (the body) there are 3 hearts, the stomach and other organs. One heart pumps blood through each gill at the end of each of the two appendages. Water flows over the gills and fills the mantle when the octopus breathes in. The water is forced out a tube call the siphon as the octopus breathes out. It can force water through the siphon rapidly and jet itself backwards if the octopus is trying to escape a predator. Using jet propulsion, octopuses travel many kilometers. An octopus can protect itself temporarily blinding an attacker by squirting ink at it. The third heart pumps the blood through the body. The octopus blood is light blue.

Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk:

“I have been coach for two years and I have often thought I would love to play Spain, who I think have been the best footballing country of the last few years, and it is happening now. It is unbelievable. It is the most important match in my football life and that applies to all the players. It is an extraordinary situation. No Dutch player has ever been a world champion."

al-Sagar
July 11, 2010, 01:22 PM
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque:

“I don't think the Netherlands will change its way of playing just because it is up against Spain. I don't believe in any way there will be a change in their script, in what they are thinking of doing. I don't think so. We both have our scripts written and we shouldn't veer from them.”

al-Sagar
July 11, 2010, 01:23 PM
BBC Radio 5 live's Graham Taylor

"We haven't seen the best of Van Persie yet but he is a key player for the Dutch. When he plays for Arsenal he gets the ball whenever he asks for it. For the Netherlands that isn't the case because they have other great individuals like Sneijder and Robben - and you can see Van Persie gets very frustrated by that. People say he doesn't care about playing for his country like he does for his club, but that's not the case. The two teams just play in very different ways and he has a big role to play for both."

al-Sagar
July 11, 2010, 01:25 PM
Spanish football expert Guillem Balague on BBC Radio 5 live

"It's a strange decision to pick Pedro ahead of Fernando Torres because, for Barca, Pedro is a winger - he doesn't play in the hole like he will tonight. I'm surprised because I thought Torres could do loads of work for David Villa, allowing him space and openings to score. Now as the lone striker, Villa will have to do that work for himself and as we saw against Germany, he is less effective in that role."

Villa is certainly not winning the golden shoe. At this point Mueller is favourite as he has highest assists(3). Sneijder has still some time though

BBC Radio 5 live's Chris Waddle

"You associate beautiful football with the Dutch and that is the first time I have ever seen them play like that. I don't think too many people will be impressed with the Netherlands. It might not have been the best final but Spain have been the best side for the last three years and have always tried to play the game in the right way. Fair play."

July 11, 2010, 04:30 PM
BBC Sport's Mark Lawrenson

"I think it's been a decent World Cup, not the best we've seen. But what there can be no doubt whatsoever about is that the best footballing team in South Africa have - rightfully - emerged as winners. Congratulations Spain."

Fair Play indeed. Some clean, magical futbol by the best team in the world. Spain are at the top of the world as they should be. Iker Casillas is at the top of the world as he should be.

Otherwise, not a bad world cup at all. Some very competitive games in the KO stages.
