Anybody knows if there ever gonna be another Asia vs Rest of the World match?

Atleast this time we will have TAMIM, SHAKIB And Maybe MUSHY/Zunaid in for the team :D

I think Asia would look like this :

Tamim Iqbal
Shewag
Sangakara
Tendulkar
Shakib
Dhoni(wk)
Dilshan / Samaraweera
Yuvraj / Virat Kohl / Umar Akmal
Mohammed Amir
Mohammed Asif/Umar Gul
Malinga

12th man : Afridi
50 miles away from the stadium : Motin

Since the batting is 8 down I'm guessing Siddons is the coach.

On a serious note, ICC should do the following for WC T20 in an effort to get the game for global expansion.

Have three zones:

ASIA (IND, PAK, SL, BD, AFG, CHN etc.)
NORTH (ENG, WI, IRE, SCO, NED, USA etc.)
SOUTH (AUS, NZ, SA, ZIM, KEN etc.)

Each zone has their own tournaments to determine top 6 teams. The top 5 qualify automatically and the 3 6th place teams playoff each other for the 16th slot.

The WC is 4 groups of 4 into QF, SF and Final.

These zonal tournaments should draw interest in developing countries and should be fair enough for the bigger teams to qualify despite a hiccup here and there.

ASIA vs. Africe, AUS vs. ROW, ASIA vs. ROW are really pointless and don't gather any significant revenue or interest.

When I was younger I used to make a world eleven, Asia 11, Africa 11, Island 11, Allrounder 11 etc. Seems the game is back in BC. I will play whenever I get enough time:-)

Only Tamim would go in Asia / world eleven : Shakib has a little chance to be in asia 11 but any chance to be selected in world eleven his performance has not been good enough

Why Dean Jones as Manager? please explain.

I wanted a manager(not coach!) like Raavi Shaastri . and I think Dean Jones somewhat like Shaastri by attitude both show on media.another reason Asia vs ROW is just about 1 or 3 matches so temporarily selected him.

And you could not say it in pictorial format????:D

I agree with the team but I think if Asia v ROW was held today, Afridi would be in instead of Yuvraj and co (Yuvraj / Virat Kohl / Umar Akmal) since he is in form and playing well with both bat and ball.

If you like Raavi Shaastri as manager then why choose Dean Jones? They are both professional commentator.

Raavi Shaastri was temporarily manager for Indian cricket team after 2007 world cup debacle. He did well as that was bad time for Indian team.
While commentating and talking in cricket related tv Show I found Dean Jones good in analyzing. moreover he wanted to coach a team. if I am not wrong he wanted to be coach of India.

The question is where is the match. Home and away system, then wait for the fluke otherwise both will have upperhand. Here is the best Asian test team that can beat ROW in Seaming conditions:

Tamim - Gamvir - Tendulkar - Sangakkara - Yusuf - Sakib - Mathews - Ameer - Azmal - Asif - Nehra

And ROW test team to beat Asians in Asia:

Bell - Smith - Strauss - Kallis - Chanderpaul - Trott - Vettori - Bollinger - Steyn - Tuffy - Swann

Shewag (automatic choice)
Gambir ( Tamim comes a close second)
Dravid/Sangakara ( would choose Drivid ouside the subcontinent and Sanga in the Subcontinent)
Sachin (automatic Choice)
Laxman/Mahela (would choose Laxman outside subcontinent and Mahela in the sub)
Tamim ( even though he is an opener , there is none to fill No: 4 slot)
Dhoni ( Captain and keeper)
Sakib ( automatic choice)
Malinga(automatic choice)
Amer (automatic choice)
Asif (automatic choice)

Would use Bhajji instead of Amer on a turning track

He is the top second run scorer this year in test cricket wheras Ghambir this year is out of form

agree. tamim is in his peak form. while dilshan and gambhir is fading away.shehwag and tamim will be nightmare for any opponent.

dont forget, Tamim alone is better than whole pakistan team now---"nasseer Hossain"
