:)

Shakib seemed to be frightened by the looks of interviewer ! Shakib was tensed. Could not even express his thoughts properly probably because of his poor english. May be thats why interviewer did not want to ask more difficult question to embarrass him.

All in all, its a poor interview. could have been much better.

He did well. The space there is a little claustrophobic no? I think that's the reason for the uneasiness.

at least someone has interviewed him. Where was all the Bangladeshi UK TV channels?. Why did not they do it?
Before criticising him we need to appreciate their effort. One of the reason I will not video any Bangladeshi games is because of criticism that comes after it gets posted in you tube.

Well done to LondonBangla.com. First I heard of that website.

Sakib smartly avoided that.;)

I dunno what you guys are so anally retentive about when watching this interview. Sakib spoke confidently and well enough to get his message through. Sure this isnt Sky Sports, but he pulled it off well. Its not nearly as bad as how some people commented on it.

Except for the Freddie Flintoff random question and the pointless "national pride" question, it was a pretty decent interview. The guy was a higher level than btv, that's for sure.

And Sakib looked fine..the room was a bit cramped, but..

Do wish the interviewer would ask more insightful questions though..I wonder if he is a professional journalist. If he isn't, really good job.

I thought he was ok. This is how he always is. He isn't as confident as Tamim or Mushfiq when speaking. And lmao was he sleeping at the start of the interview? He definitely looked tired. And there seemed to be a lot going on behind him. I didn't like the style of the interviewer. He didn't support Shakib at all.

What a poor way to end an interview he didn't even say thankyou to shakib or shake his hand. Also what's with the cramp space and the laptop at the back? It didn't look professional. The interviewer tends to waffle on a bit as well.

Agree completely. It has always occured to me he's one of those shy types in public (so am I lol). But he's far more mature cricketer than many in BD team.

I agree about the interviewer, if he's not a journo, he did ok. Otherwise this was crap.

LOOOOOOOOL

and yeah about the interview......I agree with most of you guys since it is a banglali newspaper he could've done the interview in bangla. Shakib looked very uneasy at times with the types of questions thrown at him and its very uncomfortable to watch!

I know about this newspaper I read it occasionally when my dad buys& brings it home sometimes. They print out thier articles one half in English and one half in Bangla, which is kinda good coz evertime I get stuck reading the bangla part or dont understand something, I can just look it up on the English side. So I dont see a reason why they couldn't have carried out this interview in Bangla.

Fair enough. I just realised that the letters 'a', 's' and 'd' are next to each other on the keyboard, so you probably just typed those letters. Although why did you go back? You should've continued uptil 'l' lol

Heheheh Auntu da...I am really sorry, you know I am jooker, I was just fooling around like an idiot I always am!
To all my bhais and apus, please know that it was a silly joke from me and our Auntu da is a firm believer of Islam, socialism and humaity!!

I am also so very sorry to Roman bhaiya and all of my BC bhais and apus, it was a real silly joke from me...we in Bangladesh our majority landscape is of Islamic faith, Alhamdulillah and thus the cap and beard is a intricate tactile part of and reflection of our pious lifestyle. It only means that. It shouldn't be joked with, it is disrespectful. Please forgive me.

Also about Jamaat/Shibbir, no matter how much I may dislike a political platform/party - Jammat-e Islami and Shibbir are a very part of the fabric of democracy in a land/state where we claim to be democratic. They are a political voice and it's silly of me to make poke pun at them and/or connect cap and beard or the Sunnah with a them. I am truly sorry. I was jokking and playing and and didn't know where I was going with it and what these all could also mean. Please forgive me bhais and apus. I was wrong.

Arrey pagols, dudes, my 2 dearest bhais, we are all family here, we all love one another! And we thrive through and get our essential spiritual energy through the teaching, knowledge and practice of Al-Islam, we are one! We are brothers and sisters! Hey come on! And also what Roman bhai is saying is absolutely very true, we all know what's going on around us, there are a lot of uneducated, blind, vile hatred coming toward the people of the faith (Al-Islam) from all sorts of hateful and ignorant and otherwise we should always ignore and not pay much attention to hate-mongers. We are seeing it right here in New York everyday now. So it is our responsibility as decent free human being to stand up for ourselves and also educate this bunch if possible and also present ourselves in the most dignified way with our very basic born human rights and our deep religious faith that each one of us feel however in our heart.

We are one and we love one another! :big_hug:

I agree BC is a great community to get current info and intelligent discussions regarding Bangladesh Cricket Team. I also joined this site back in 2005 and I still come here daily to stay current with the forums but I never got into the habit of posting my thoughts. I should post more often.
