If between your front line 2 pacers who are selected primarily to bowl you're only going to give them 8 overs why even play them. Mash bowled 3 and was taken off by shakib understandably cuz he bowled crap. Mash obviously should not be playing and I'm not sure he should play as long as we have better options. He just cant walk into the team based on his reputation.
Last game Shuwadiwadi was useless too. Shuwadwadi should play if rajjak is injured. Chokka bowled much better than him. If you have Mullah or Chokka no need for Shuwadiwadi. Going in with one pacer is also not a good option as you need to develop your pace bowlers for Test cricket and for long term development. If you don't give them an opportunity to bowl then how will they even learn.BD has to persist to get at least 2 pacers who are guaranteed to bowl their quota regularly.
In ODI the strategy is always different. Most teams go in with 4 front line specialist bowlers and use a 1 or 2 part time bowlers eg, Collingwood, Yuvraj Singh, Chris Gayle, Jesse Ryder, Mohammad Hafeez, Michael Clarke, Dilshan etc. In ODI BD batting is weaker than their bowling so why go in with 6 bowlers and not play your main front line bowlers when that is the sole reason they are in the side.
BD is lucky to have Shakib as their best bowler and Batsman. So why waste the opportunity like this. BD certainly don't have this kind of luxury. They could certainly use an extra batsman no doubt.
