Cryptic Fate's "Cholo Bangladesh" was made back in '99-'00 and it is still and by far the best song made on cricket by any Bangladeshi artist in my point of view.

To write a song about cricket, it has to come from the heart, and Shakib Bhai (Shakib F. Chowdhury, Bassist/Vocalist of CF) is a die hard-hard core Bangladesh cricket and anything Bangladeshi fanatic! I saw a few matches with him a long time ago!

There was this concert I once organized with a friend at ISD...and you know what? We just won the game against Australia at Cardiff, and the concert day we were losing to SL, yet he kept on asking me from stage "ki obostha?"...and then when they performed Cholo Bangladesh, it was pandemonium like never seen before! Probably the best cricket song ever created PERIOD!

If you know Shakib then you must know that Cryptic Fate’s first (most likely first ever) Bangla song (can’t remember the title) dedicated to cricket was way back in 96’-97’. It was in their first Bangla album that didn’t get released till 2000. But unfortunately that song got cut from that album when it was finally released. I liked that song better than Cholo <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comhttp://www.banglacricket.com/alochona/ /><st1:country-region w:st=Bangladesh as it was heavy and hard and I like inspiring songs to be musically powerful not just lyrically. But as you stated, Shakib definitely is a cricket lover though his own cricket skill sucks which he makes up with his enthusiasm, you can quote me on that. :D
