anybody know who will make the pitches for the wc game?..icc or bcb?

and will the pitch be batting paradise like the jan 10 try series between ind/sl/ban or low bounce like nz/zim

if its a batting paradise then with this slow batting lineup we'll find it very difficult in the wc and can almost kiss that match vs india goodbye

I expect BCCI to force BCB to do something stupid, making road pitches like Indians do. Just like they did during Tri Series.

road pitches will kill us..we have many slowpokes in our team and we dont have the bowling to defend in road pitches

I say we chase. We can never defend a 240 score. And if we score 280+ they will be even more charged up to chase down that (so called) "high" total. Pressure will be on our bowlers to defend a good total like that.

with rokibul, imrul, riyad, zunaid in the same team we cant chase any thing beyond 250...and with road pitches other teams will probably score 300

Slow and low bounce pitches are ideal for our bowling..240 then will be a good score to defend and we can book other teams for low score too

I have more faith in our batsmen to take on the Indian bowlers, than bowlers to shut down the Indian batsmen (again). IMO, this Indian squad is way more stronger than 07's. With Greg Chappell gone, India fixed a good solid line up. And this time around they are in form. So ya.

I guess BCB's not gonna make the same mistake that they made during the Idea Cup last winter!

^ If I am not wrong, we dropped few chances then? With JF here, I believe we can take all our chances, along with half chances as well. Fielding will close down a lot of gaps between the teams. That goes for every team.

Like today, SA had the chance to get Yousuf out at least 3 times. Failed, and payed for it. I just hope we do 100% well in fielding.

Slow low wickets with slow outfields are the way to go imo.

It seems to me our coaching trio are good to understand modern day cricket than alone. So i hope they ll not make a mistake to make a pace friendly wicket against india.

Its out of our control. The ICC prepares the pitch for world cup games.

Practice match was on the center wicket. It would be the same pitch for bd vs ind. I am guessing the pitch would behave same way as it behaved in yesterdays match.

No surprise there.

would love a green top against the Indians but maybe not against South Africa and England ;)

I think it will be the traditional slow and low tracks and we have had more interesting nail biting matches compared to the roads we prepared in the tri series where it was pretty obvious the side batting second would win

God knows how much run will come if that wicket is used...I thought scoring 230+ in Mirpur pitch were difficult

The pitch has the potential to reach 300+. BD can chase down such target providing the top 5 batsmen bat through the 42nd over with little left for the tail to worry about. That effectively means that one of the top order needs to hit a big ton (145-150) followed by few quick fifties .
