1992 - Pakistan (?)
1996 - West Indies (?)
1999 - New Zealand
2003 - Kenya
2007 - New Zealand
2011 - ????

My pick is Bangladesh/West Indies.

Bangladesh at home have done quite well in recent times and are expected to give a good fight to Eng, SA, WI and India. A win against one of the top four teams in the group could put them in the QF and if they get to meet Pak, NZ or for that matter even Australia (on spinner friendly wicky), they will surely fancy their chances.

If Gayle fires, WI might well reach the final four. Their core group - Gayle, Shiv and Sarwan - has got quite a good record in India. Their bowling is a worry and their batting is inconsistent but they have two players in Gayle and Pollard who can win matches on their own. So, on their day, they can be quite dangerous. Lil Bravo is also crucial to their chances.

Interesting comments about the Tiger's performance in the upcoming WC 2011.
ICF seems becoming a fan of the Tigers. Here is the link to read more...

I am sorry but I did not read the whole thing, but now that you mention it, is this another thread on what Indians think of us. Well what you know, yes it is! I

This is like a US-Canada thing going on here, everyy day. We are kool and you are not! (ya that's right you worship us! you wish you were us :D)

Alright that's it. What on earth is wrong with wanting to know about the oppositions' (be it India or any other team) viewpoints about our own team? Yes, I'd very much like to know what their opinion is on the recent progress our team has made and it doesn't mean I'm worshipping them or licking their feet or that I'm suffering from some sort of inferiority complex or that I think our oppositions are of an upper chaste than us or something..jeezzz!! Please, stop acting like a box (I couldn't figure out what else to compare to)!

Now whether opening a thread about a thread opened in a different forum is makruh or not, is a different matter and I'm not going into that discussion. Coz I love KP bro. :)

If the topic wasn't raised, the argument wouldn't have started either.

I'm going to have to side with Eshen too. Certain members here worship the incredibly biased and rather illogical opinions of a typical Indian fan. Enough trolling around for recognition. For God's sake.

Could you please name those certain members who worship the incredibly biased and rather illogical opinions of a typical Indian fan?

Who is doing so? It does matter how people think about you. If most of the people think I am sucks, then I am indeed. And it matters what the Indians think about the Tigers. India is a cricket power-house who controls the ICC, thus, it is important what they are thinking about us.

To the second response: I'd rather not get into names and start an argument for no significant reason. The general attitude I sometimes see here is this cry for recognition from Indian fans. Comments from ICF members almost end up as thread topics on our forum. Why should we care what their fans think? We certainly aren't so interested in the point of views of other nations' fans.

To the third response: I don't see how Indian fans will give you a clear view of how the Indian Board or the ICC perceive us. My point is that there are teams besides India who actually matter.

Anyway, I'm simply stating my opinion, as have you stated your's. Hopefully I didn't come off as too aggressive, because I quite enjoy your valuable input in this forum.

If the Tigers continue to play better cricket, the Indian cricket fans will support the Tigers more and more which would lead to a demand to watch and play the Tigers at Indian soil that ultimately would help the Tigers to play IPL and tour matches and would benefit the players and BCB financially.

C_K : Everybody has his/her own opinion as we see things from our own perspective. If I can convey mine so can you - it's all good my friend :)

In the forum, Late Cut, also known as Turbanator at CricketWeb, is a big time Indian Cricket Team Extremist (not a fanatic), and borderline racist. Apart forom his post, the rest were more or less pretty balanced in terms of what we have come to expect of/from them.

Let them think what they want to. We just have to go and play to the best of our abilities and win the games :)!
