3 days to go...For the big day, when the first ever cricket world cup will be played in our country. Its a grand event not only for the Cricketers of Bangladesh but for each and every Citizen of Bangladesh..

We have come a long way to get here, from winning the ICC tournament, playing the first world cup, getting the test status, beating Australia, winning our first ODI series, test series, beating all the ICC test playing nations, getting to rank 8 in the ICC ODI ranking.

And it hasn’t been a smooth one...like all real journeys of life we had our share of hiccups, frustrations, heartaches…but slowly and steadily we have moved forward. And this wouldn’t have been possible with out the hard work, dedication and patience from all the players, staffs coaches and well wishers…( banglacricket). Who helped, supported believed in them, took them where we can dream bigger, believe, be proud. And one such support has been banglacricket.com

Bangladesh cricket team has given us a reason to smile, to feel proud, to feel brave, to dream. and at times to cry. we have our emotions and expectation with them, with the men in green. But for all that…banglacricket.com has been the medium, it has given us a chance to channelize our emotions and expectations, make friends, bring us together for cricket, bring us close to the Bangladesh cricket team. Now we are a like part of Bangladesh cricket team. It speaks volumes when national team coaches come to visit us.
And that gives us a greater responsibility towards the Bangladesh Cricket team.

And now they are in one of their biggest cricketing events of their life. and like always we have been with them…we don’t know what the result will be but like the players who have put their best, we can also give our best. They are the ones who will carry our expectations and we are their support.

And for this mega event of their life, let us give them our full support, wish them all the best. Motivate them, show them faith and courage. Our coaches have come to this forum. So the players are also not far away..
This is our chance to personally wish them.

We fight, argue, bash…but in BC we all love Bangladesh cricket, love each and every player. We are emotional people and that’s the biggest advantage for us. coz unless we put your heart into something we wont achieve it. Lets use this opportunity to channelise our positive emotions, coz BC and Bangladesh cricket has come a long way, and its time to join hands and give our best..

I opened this thread, so that each member how ever he likes wishes the team, any players best of luck, .for this world cup. I know there are members who have been with this the team for a long time; I welcome all of you to wish the team best of luck. Let your emotions flow. Let out your creativity, share a song, an incident, a kind word…a quote what ever you like, to motivate, to encourage the team. This is your chance to put your personal touch.

Yes a little bit of discipline will be required. A little bit of responsibility in what we write. And the moderators can help. Lets not talk about what our expectations are, who should play, team tactics. coz that is not our job, we have a million threads for that. we are best at supporting lets do that. lets just keep it to motivating them, let your heart flow .say what you like about Junaid, Naem, Rakibul, Ash, Imrul. Remind them that how happy we felt when they beat Australia when we went second round last world cup. I want the input of each and every true fan of Bangladesh cricket team.

Maybe something that you write will motivate them, and give them the self belief. clear all their inhibitions…feel brave and courageous

This thread is not mine. But dedicated to all the members of BC and the Players of Bangladesh Cricket..and if it goes well .the mods can choose the best messages and pass it on to the coach, and players.

Very good analysis. The players, especially Ash are bashed here very quickly by overexcited fans.
West Indians dont bash their players dont matter how bad they are and these guys have had a myriad od problems for the last 4 years, but they are still supported very strongly by their own.

Are you speaking from experience?
Do you know any people from the west indies personally (I mean, among your friends, neighbours, colleagues)? Or, are you saying these based on the west indian spectators, (they are indeed lively, vocal and passionate) in the stadium?
