Bangladesh has a real posibility to win a test with Zimbabwe. Bangladesh is increasingly improving. All other test cricketer take Bangladesh seriously now.:)

Sage welcome to the board.
BD can win if they perform well with both bat and ball. Unfortunately top orders seems to be bit shaky in last few days.

Thanx Nasif!
You are right. I have noticed it in England test too. Bowling seems to be holding up good. England, Australia and pakistan all three team was not able to score to many runs against us.Like around 300. I think batsman should try to build partnership and stay! Runs will come.:)

i don't understand why this f**** cricket info is so ignorant to bd cricket. this match should be live on cricinfo since it is an first class match and also a test playing nation is playing. this is rediculous, can't stand on this..is there anything we can do abt it. should we write to this stupid cric info's official. this is very frustrating. whenever eng A is playing in india witha regional team, u will see there is live update for that but why not for bdesh.. also thse ****in umpires, i feel like breaking their fingers so they can't raise up their finger against bdeshi player.. all of these things are very frustrating.. all messed up..

That is great.
I am hoping this was a un-bat-able pitch. That is why our top order did so poorly and our second string bowlers won the match for us.
Nijhum
February 16, 2004, 09:39 AM
Doesn't make very much sense though, if lower order batsmen can bat in an un-batable pitch why the top orders won't. But anyway this win was very much needed for them. And good for sumon too with an unbroken streak of no-losing so far, which won't make any harm on the team's morale either.

February 16, 2004, 09:43 AM
New ball can make a difference on the top order men in an unfriendly pitch.
The reason I am hoping that is, I looked at the Zimbabue top order and our bowlers who are not so good. This seems the logical explanation.

Now this makes it hard for Manjurul. Both Alamgir and Tarek did good. But we must keep Taposh in the team, but going in with 3 genuine pacer does not seem the possiblity since we have Mushfiq.
This will be a tough call.

Ya, another optimistic way to look at the thing is that since the top orders couldn't do very well in the match, their probability to bat well in the coming innings should be higher, assuming that players cannot be that consistent as to bat bad (or good, favorably) for too long. Rana is doing pretty good.

Yeah it was a bowling pitch alright....I mean can you believe it? A sucker like Tareq Aizz getting six in just 16 overs? He almost got a hattrick too....except that his third wicket was off a no ball....:(
Anyways....it's good that Bangladesh beat them...they should have....after all Namibia beat them too....
About the top order batsmen...i think that if the lower order can bat, so should the top order.....
But anyways we can still keep our hopes high I guess:cool::)
