Hey people

I'm doing a research for my uni.

I need you to name countries begining with A-Z. But you must name 1 country for each alphabet and it should be the country for each letter that comes in your mind FIRST. For example, name a country begining with A and you should write the country's name that comes in your mind FFIRST. Don't matter what country it is but u MUST name the country that comes in your mind FIRST for all the alphabets from A-Z (X could be an exception). Note: write 1 contry name for each alphabet.

Also please don't read any other comments until you submitted your list as this will affect what u actually choose in psychological way.

GET STARTED NOW BEFORE READING MY LIST. :)

Here's my list of A-Z countris that came in my mind before any other countries:

Argentina
Bangladesh
Cameron
Denmark
England
France
Ghana
Holland
Ireland
Jamaica
Kenya
Latvia
Malaysia
Nigeria
Omen
Poland
Qatar
Russia
Sweden
Tunisia

It's not a sovereign country. Colony of France. It's in the South Pacific. There are NO W sovereign countries.

Speaking of DJ - which country name starts with DJ and what was the original name? The original name had two proper names - why?

I see some people here are deliberately not following the instructions...

Roni, not sure if it helps, but I'll actually post what goes through my head before I eventually arrive at a country name (i.e. when I don't think of it immediately) or eventually fail after 10-15 seconds. A common problem I have is that I think of city names first.

Austria
Bangladesh
China
Denmark (Dakar, Dubai)
Ecuador
Finland (Frankfurt)
Ghana
Hungary
India
Jamaica
Kyrgyzstan (Koala Lampur, Kosovo(?))
Latvia
Malta
North Korea
... (Oslo, Ottowa, Odessa) FAIL! (came back to the list a minute later and thought "Oman")
Pakistan
Qatar (Quebec)
Russia
Slovenia
Taiwan (Tehran) (EDIT: FAIL, not a country... next thing I got was Turkey)
Uganda
... (Vienna, Vladivostok) FAIL!
... (Waterloo, Washington) FAIL!
... (blank)
Yemen
Zambia (had a friend from Zambia, so it kinda sticks with me)

:umm: Most people actually missed the point of this whole thing. Only "Goru Bhai" got it right. I was hoping that people would write the list 1st without looking at any other comments or google. It doesn't matter if you get same country as everyone else. The whole point is that you write it without looking at anyone elses comment and also you right the 1 that comes in your mind 1st, not the 1 u just like.

Posted via BC Mobile Edition (iPhone)

Not really - it is an interesting question though. It IS a country but not sovereign.

I guess one simple way to clarify confusion would be to say, could a country X be part of the United Nations and could you have a passport from that country.

That brings in another interesting territory - the Hong Kong Special Administration Region. After the British lease ran out in 1999, Hong Kong reverted back to PRC ownership but it does have special status and it's own passport - but it is NOT a member of the UN. China will have major conniptions were that to happen.

Not my intentional to derail it...but see if this trick works.

Think of a number between 1 and 10, but don’t tell me.

Now double it.

Now add 8 to that. You have new number.

Take your new number, and divide it by 2. You have a new number once again.

Now, I want you to subtract your original number from the number you have now. Concentrate on this number.

Let’s switch gears. I want you to think of the letter in the alphabet that corresponds with your number. That is, if your number is 2, think of B. If your number is 3, think of C. And so on.

Concentrate on that letter. Got it? OK, now, think of a country in europe that begins with that letter. Can be anywhere. Got it? Great. Now concentrate on your country.

With your country in your mind, let’s go to the next letter in the alphabet. So, if your country begins with B, go to letter C. And so on.

You’re now thinking of your country and your other letter. Now, think of an animal that begins with that other letter. Got your animal? Good. Now concentrate and visualize the color of that animal. Got it? Good. Now concentrate on three things: your country, your animal, and the color of the animal. Try to see it in your mind.

Just remember that there are no grey elephants in Denmark.
