View Full Version : Is there anything we can do?

This has been forwarded to me. It is hearbreaking to see one of our innocent girls stuck in an Indian brothel. But, what was worse was to hear her own brother playing the head game with her with false promises.
I'm urging to anyone who is either in BD or have connection their to follow up further on the status of the girl. I'm sure the funding needed could be managed by the diaspora (and the ones within the country).
Please click link below to see what I'm talking about:
The BD girl, Roma's story starts right around 7:47.
I am not trying to pass the buck here. This is the only venue I could think of.
Thanks everyone.

The most emotional scene in the film is when we meet Roma. A 19-year-old Bangladeshi girl, Roma thought she was coming to India to marry a friend of her brother-in-law. She was rescued from the brothel by Naseema and taken to live in a government shelter. But her family still refuses to allow her to return home for fear that she will give them a bad name. We were able to watch the heartfelt telephone conversation between Roma and her family as she pleaded with them to take her back.

I don't understand the amount of evil there is in such people that they can do such acts.
