He played a fantastic knock yesterday. in d previous match too he played a blistering innings agt dis team.
Don't see any reason to b too unhappy with him.
My gut feeling is dis guy is getting ready for presenting a big surprise to us.
He will. Today or tomorrow. A good DPL & a goodish BPL may prompt us to see d most successful u-19 batsman in our history in national colors.
If chandimal can, if kieswetter can why can't he?

Good win. Mosaddek and Al-Amin batted really well to reach a good score in the end. Nur bailed us out with the ball and covered a rather concerning bowling performance from the rest of the bowlers. Looks like, like the last team, this team too will rely heavily on the spinners. Also Daniel Bell-Drummond who I've been raving about got a 50 for England.

And yeah, Noor sucked recently, good to see him back in form.

Good to see Noor being amongst the wickets. I heard from my cousin that he's a Devandra Bishoo type leg spinner. So that means he's a pretty aggressive spinner. He also said that he thinks he'll be better then Bishoo. So we got a very good prospect on our hands. The key is to take time with him and select him for the national team only when he's completely ready. Being a leg spinner at the international level isn't easy.

A little concerned about Taskin, he bowled superbly his first 2 overs getting a wicket and just conceding 1 run...then started league runs and leg byes! He's only 16, so I hope he gets in the groove. Is he playing in DPL or will we see him some more this series?

Noor tends to bottle it in the bigger games. His performance wasn't up to the mark in the A tour to the Caribbean. Obviously it's a lot easier to dominate these young English boys who are probably touring the SC for the first time. So yeah he needs to show that he can do it in the bigger games before there is even talk of him coming into the national team. At the moment Shohag Gazi the off-spinner is miles better.

Noor Hossain: still at least a season away(more like two seasons away but things can change)
Shohag Gazi: he is not that far from the National team.(1/2 a season away/one more A-team performace/excellence in BPL can really bring him into the limelight(candidacy for selection).

It's great that we have a lot of spinners in the pipeline. but how do we utilize them? I think Noor Hossain is more suited for Tests(can take wickets but also expensive) but he is still young, so too early to judge. Shubho is doing pretty good too...

it's en vogue in BC forum to jump onto anyone's neck whenever someone tries to opine inclusion of any young player.
I faced d same fate in Nasir's case. A lot of highly knowledgeable BCers took me to the sword. now I take some unearthly pleasure when I see those same forumers cheer for him
Having said so, I don't see anything wrong if somrone thinks noor hossain to be ready for nat'l. team in 2 year's time.
playing in d u-19 team shouldn't & mustn't disqualify any one for d national team.

In Noor's case, he's not new to U19! He has played in d last U-19 CWC. although i'm not sure whether he is still eligible for d next one. However he hasn't been confined to age level cricket only. He played number of matches for d Academy & 'A' team agt different teams in different countries

d bottom line is he's not as young or inexperienced as most other U-19 players. In 2013, he will b 22! Is dat too young? He's d premier bowler 4 Mkhammedan. He will b same 4 Sylhet Royals. Off late, he is getting commendable success & may b enjoying d best bowling form of his life so far. Definitely he's still some way behind for my liking but .... he's certainly on d r8 track.

Hope he gets better wid time & make some sage BCers eat their words.

his real age is not 16. 100% sure. and its not an error by crapinfo either :)
