Im totally frustrated with the team set up in many of the matches

A brainless Aftab Ahmed who probably forgot the difference between a half volley and a full toss plays ahead of Nazimuddin who is probably going to be our premium opener in T20s and tests.
Mominul haq scored a match winning 53*(28) and the next match he is demoted to no. 7 and plays behind kabir Ali who is in the team as a pacer.
Sohail Tanvir bats up front when their are local batsman waiting for a chance to bat
Nazmul being one of the better paceman in the country has been given a chance to play only 2 matches so far.
Shafiul Islam has hardly been used and Rubel hasnt been around
And Tamim?? He is one of the best batsman in the world when in form and still the best BD batsman and where is he??? Out of the side due to fights.
And many other issues

This tournament is supposed to be meant for all our present and future prospects for the national team and what do we see? A place for groving future Pakistan cricketers and a warm up for West Indies players

Nazmul not playing cuz Rubel is more economical bowler than him and also Dhaka has too many fast medium and medium bolwers(Mashrafee, Naved, Pollard, Azhar).

In case you haven't read the other threads , Nazimuddin is down with fever . Dhaka chose to have Aftab cos they didnt have any other option .

Nazmul didnt have a a great match . Bowled three overs and gave 26 runs for no wickets . Our players have to perform to be in the team .They have been given ample opportunities in this tournament. Just by having a Bangladeshi Passport doesn't mean you can warrant a place in the starting eleven .

But what has fahad alam or khalid latif have done for rajshahi?..they are taking a spot of Asif ahmed the u19 star who was given only one chance..we have seen what Mominul another under 19 player has done after giving enough chances

The guy who won the game last night. you drop him to at number 7 to face only 3 balls. and that too after Kabir ali, Mithun and Ramiz Raza jr. joke of the tournament

That was not the best move. He should have at least come at number 4

Thats why having 8 teams next year can make sure more promising players get a chance to show their talents.

There is a perverse ruling in BPL of minimum of 5 foreign players in the playing 11. I have never heard of such a rule in other t20 leagues;they only have maximum foreign players rule. Which is why you see some local players being unfairly held back just after one bad performance and not being given enough chances. In my opinion it should be a maximium of 5 foreigners and no minimum. Afterall this is the Bangladesh Premier League with all due respect to the good quality foreign players and the role they have played in the BPL. But do BCB officials have any patriotism when they negotiate with Game On Sports?

Ck played with 4 foreign players against BB in last match. i think bpl is held at wrong time. lots of cricket going on now. we are missing quality intl players. hopefully next year it wont be like this. but you got to admit in one sector we have really improved that is catching. let it be the stepping stone for the future success for time being.

Dude you got it wrong

5 is maximum, there is no min, which means you can even go with 0 foreign players :E

Putting 8 teams might be a bit too much and 6 is less so Ill settle with 7 teams..that will be great enough

You know what, I think half of BCites have far greater knowledge about cricket than the owners.

Some of the owners bought the team just as a branding for their company, but they hardly know about the team. Ive seen the brand ambassadors, they know nothing about the team. An ambassador of BBs was asked who is your fav. cricketer in BBs, she answered "nafees" when there was players like hodge and gayle. Perhaps because Nafees was captain and icon.

But I liked the owner of sylhet. She was honest and she wanted cricket to be developed in sylhet and more importantly wanted the stadium over their to be ready for BPL matches. She said shell get involved in management next year, this year she is just knowing the players
