A need for a new vice captain

Well guyz, im afraid to say that if their really has been any non performer in the team in recent times its Mullah the VC. Ive hardly seen him scoring runs, or getting the team in a good position from dire situations. If such low quality player is our vice captain then I dont see how we can ever be called a good team

Plus, as he is vice captain, he will be in the team and will always perform poorly putting pressure on the team. Thus, blocking ways for other quality cricketers to get in. No matter how well you do in domestics, intl cricket is the real deal. You dont perform, you get kicked.

Id say any of Mashrafee, Sakib or even tamim take up the post for the team's sake.

Things are fine ATM, and no Mashrafe - injury problems aside, he has at best a couple of years in him. So nope.

I think we should stick with Mahmudullah for the moment. Shakib should not be burdened with responsibility right now, and it's the same case with Tamim ofcourse. So that leaves no choice but to go with Mahmudullah.

It's not a required position. How about, picking one from the remaining 10? That way - the 11 picked are there not because one of them is a VC and it allows others to learn decision making. You don;t have to pick from all 10 on a rotating basis, just rotate amongst the qualified.

why do we want to change every thing after every loss? you guys realize that if we actually did that then our u-14 team would be playing asia cup (with shakib as captain)... instead try to fix the player cause he is capable no need to change players or captaincy...

btw he got a bad decision in the last match...

Why I said a new VC is to be made is because Riad has been an underperformer any other youngster like anamul/mominul could easily take his place. I think he is a burden for the team, exact opposite of sakib

Mahmudullah's role is purely ceremonial. Mushy, Shakib and Mashrafe are the three leaders on the field and it was pretty evident in the last match.

Absolutely correct. Sorry to say but this is a pointless thread and poll. We cant ask for a players head everytime he makes a mistake. Sometimes we expect too much from our players. Chopping and changing will only hurt Bangladeshi cricket.
